Chapter 6: "Oh Yeah, She's Got it Bad."

I woke up in a panic- today is the day! I turned over to grab my phone and tried to call Levi- still no signal. That's odd, I thought he would for sure be on his way home by now?

I looked over to where Katie was finishing up doing yoga on the floor, and smiled. She'd done so much for me these past two days- both her and Cassie had.

Speaking of Cassie, she was still passed out next to me. Mouth open, snoring, drool on the pillow. I stifled a giggle. Typical Cass.

I dragged myself out of bed and walked into Cassie's enormous bathroom. I turned on the shower, grabbed a towel, and hopped in. No need to wait for the water to get hot- it was instant. I needed to clear my head and order my thoughts.

What was I worried about:

-  Losing "The Competition"

- Losing Levi

- Messing up

- Embarrassing myself in front of important people

-Losing Cassie and Katie as future siblings

What was I excited about:

- Seeing Levi

- Hanging out with more Cassie and Katie

- Figuring out how to get Blake and Cassie together

- Marrying Levi?

The last item on the list kept the wheels of my brain turning 1,000 miles an hour. I loved Levi, and sure, I had thought about us getting married. Now, it just feels so close and so real... but only if I win.

I got out of the shower and wrapped the towel around me. I saw a pile of neatly folded clothes sitting on the counter with a note on top.

"Olivia, put these on and meet me in the front corridor, we have to get you registered! Katie will meet us after having coffee with Dad!

- Cassie"

I threw on the clothes, and tried to remember how to get to the front corridor, after getting lost about four times, I finally made it.

"There she is! Hey gorgeous, come sign these papers!" Cassie said, being overdramatic as usual.

I walked up to where she was standing, and took the pen and papers from her hand.

The list of questions seemed normal: age, birthday, height, weight, SS#, clothing measurements.

I answered them quickly and handed the stack of paperwork back to the lady in a smart looking black suit standing opposite of Cass. She nodded curtly and handed me a folder filled with information.

"Thank you for registering for "The Competition". Congratulations, Miss. Adams, you are now officially apart of a rich family tradition, spanning decades. Please, review the information in this packet, and make sure to wear your name tag at all times, starting tonight at the ball. Thank you. If you have any questions, please find me. My name is Lady Dolores and I am in charge of contestant care."

I flashed her a quick smile and thanked her only before she turned abruptly, and walked away.

"Geez that lady gets weirder and weirder every time I see her," Cassie commented as we turned to find some breakfast.

"Who is she?" I asked.

"Old family friend. I've known her since I was in diapers. She never married, never had kids. Kind of just kept to herself unless my parents needed anything." Cassie answered.
