Chapter 3

There was no deaths for a long time, until Monokuma brought us back into the big hall, which seemed strange to us. "I have a feeling that you need another motive ~ Upupupu ~" Monokuma giggled and squeaked, but none of us were happy about it. After all, one motive had caused two murders and we didn't want to go through that again. "No matter what it is, nobody will die anymore!" Jun said determined, but Monokuma just giggled in response. "Well, I'm sure someone will die ~" Monokuma provoked. "Well, your new motive is as follows: if you kill someone, you can just go without a class trial ~" Monokuma explained to us.

Everyone, including myself, thought that no one would murder someone over this motive, but unfortunately we had forgotten a certain person. Nothing happened for about a day and a half, but then at noon Kanata suddenly came to us with an extremely pale face. "Kanata, what happened??" Arashi asked in a worried manner as she got up quickly and ran up to him. "C-Chiaki ..... i-in the P-Pool" he stuttered in response and tons of tears ran down his cheeks. Apparently he was still in shock, but we ran to the pool, hoping that he would be wrong and we were shocked. A corpse floated in the pool, which was Chiaki, according to Kanata.

"Who would just do something like that..?" Arashi asked sadly, but this question would be answered in a few seconds. "Please come onto the upper deck everyone ~" we heard Monokuma's voice from the speakers and we made our way up there. When we got there we saw that someone else was standing next to Monokuma, and that someone was Natsume. "What are you doing here Natsume?" Arashi asked him confused, but that would also clear up immediately. "Well, he can go ~" Monokuma teased and initially nobody understood. But then it dawned on everyone and we understood it. "SO YOU KILLED HIM?!!" Kanata yelled and wanted to attack him. However, he was held back by the others. Well, Natsume on his part got into the only lifeboat and was then was lowered into the water. Then he sailed away. Arashi brought Kanata to his room and tried to comfort him. The next day Monokuma ordered us back to the big hall, because he once again had a motive for us. Kanata was the last to come and he didn't look too great either, but of course he still grieved for Chiaki, after all it had only been yesterday ..

"Now that it worked so well with the last motive, I'll give you another one again ~" said the teddy bear playfully and everyone was somehow excited, but not in a positive sense. "The newest motive is that you can revive a person of your choice ~" announced Monokuma and I was sure that Kanata's eyes lit up briefly.

Well, we were allowed to leave again and we all spent our time somehow distracting ourselves, which most of us succeeded in. But the next murder did not wait, because Rei's body was found in his room after only two days. Deep in our subconsciousness, we probably knew who did this terrible act this time, but again nobody wanted to admit it. Everyone started to investigate and our time was running extremely fast again. We all regathered at the elevator and were brought down to the classroom. Then we started to discuss again. "So who has no alibi this time..?" Izumi asked, who apparently wanted to get this over with quickly. Arashi, Midori, Kanata and I raised our hands. Then the other couple said their alibis. Jun and Hiyori were together all the time and Kaoru was with Izumi and Leo at the time of the murder. "So what did you guys do?" Jun asked and the rest of us replied with our foolproof alibis. I was in the hospital room, because I had cut myself, so I was alone in the hospital room at the time of the murder. Midori was also in the kitchen at the time, but ever since I left, he was alone. Kanata was still grieving for Chiaki in his room at the time of the murder, and Arashi was on the upper deck. "Kanata, did you hear anyone run by?" Izumi asked the person addressed. "No ... I was too busy and wasn't paying attention ... and I didn't hear screaming or anything like that ..." he replied while staring at the ground. "Shall we discuss the details of the murder ..?" Midori spoke up. We others agreed and let the things that we found out rush through our heads again. "Well," Hiyori began, "Rei was obviously strangled, so Kanata couldn't hear Rei screaming either." Hiyori started and Izumi then continued: "and Kaoru came to us at 15:38 and at 15:44 we found the body and lead you to it. "

"But that's just a six-minute window, during this time it's impossible to walk down from the upper deck, especially since the way takes around two and a half minutes, and that if you know your way around and don't run. If I remember correctly there was blood on it, which means that the culprit should have a wound .. !!" I said quickly. "Midori, Kanata, roll up your sleeves quickly !!" Arashi ordered and you could hear the panic in her voice as we were running out of time. Midori did this immediately and you could see that he had no wounds. However, Kanata refused, with the reason that the blood could have come from Rei. "It's time to vote ~~" Monokuma then announced out of nowhere and the monopads to vote were again in front of us. Then the scoreboard went down again.

A shiver ran down our spines, as we stared at the board which would tell us whether we were right, and in fact Kanata's Name did flashed green. It was a relief for us but also not, because there was another execution that would haunt us in our dreams. "Why did you kill him?? You should know how you feel when the person you love dies !! Kanata protested in a trembling voice and there was a slight glimmer of fear. For a short time Kanata's face was filled with fear before he smiled weakly and said "then at least we are together again ..." and you could hear in his voice that he accepted his fate. Now Kanata was also pulled away by a metal ring that was around his neck when the mastermind's mascot hit the red button. Kanata was thrown into a huge aquarium which was filled with the most beautiful and colorful fish and corals. His eyes lit up, but everyone knew that this beauty could not last for long. And it really didn't: a few seconds later, all the fish suddenly had disappeared and a dark atmosphere emerged, which swallowed up the whole aquarium. Then bars were opened on the side and other fish such as piranas and moray eels came out, which swam to Kanata in a flash. His eyes widened with fear, but it was already too late. More and more came up to him and began to eat him alive. Kanata wanted to scream in pain, but the only thing we saw was the big air bubbles that came out of his mouth. In the meantime, the water turned darker and darker, blood filling the water and painting it red until in the end only the bones of Kanata sank to the bottom of the aquarium and the fish calmed down and swam away. During the whole procedure none of us could look away because we were all captivated by the cruelty, and we all stood there for quite a while before we all left to lower our heartbeat and clear our heads. I am sure that not only I get a racing heart when there is an execution, and especially Arashi almost faints every time. But not only does she often have to look away, because the rest of us, especially in an execution like the last one, have to pull ourselves together so that we don't have to vomit or even faint.
