Loke... He's one of the celestial spirits I have a contract with. I have his golden key to prove it (that's what I use to open his gate, anyway). He's tall and has orange hair, he usually uses tuxes and he's a real gentleman, but sometimes he goes too far, or, at least, farther than any other of my spirits.
One time, I went with Natsu (one of my friends) to the top of this mountain. It was really cold up there (just know that it was snowing) and I hadn't been prepared for such weather. I opened the gate to horologium (a big clock) to protect myself from the cold, but once the time for him was up, he went back to the celestial world and I was cold again. The thing is, Loke used his own magic to forcefully open his gate and appear in front of me.
"Loke? What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"I couldn't stand to watch my girl go through this cold without a jacket," he explained.
I, of course, blushed. Calling me his girl was one of the liberties he took.
"Here." He showed me a jacket he had brought and laid it on my shoulders.
"Thanks," I said.
"Anything for my kind key-holder," he winked.
Yeah, he might have called me kind, but he was kinder than me.
There was this other time when i was running towards the guild because I was running late. The master was going to announce something I didn't yet know and I sprained my ankle. After half a block of walking on my own, Loke forced his gate open yet again.
"Let me help you," he said, and he made me piggy-ride him till we reached the guild. I was too flustered to say anything to him right then, but I was grateful.
It was things like this that helped me realize he wasn't only a spirit I owned (and a friend), but what really made me open my eyes was the time I met some vulcans on my way to the city.
Now, vulcans are these big ape spirits that are obsessed with women and like to make big messes. These suddenly surrounded me and I had nowhere to run, so the only choice left for me was fighting them.
I didn't get to grab my keys when Loke appeared next to me, ready to fight.
"H-how did you know I was about to call you?"
"There's no time for that. Lets fight! If they touch one hair of you, I'll never forgive myself."
I smiled. "Lets do this." With that, Loke fought with his magic and I, with my whip. Not long after, all the vulcans were gone.
"I guess that's my cue to leave. Take care, Lucy," he said.
"Wait, Loke!" I stopped him.
"What is it, sweetie?"
"I, uhm..." I hesitated. "With you coming so often, I'll forget I can call you with your key," I chuckled.
"Oh. Do you want me to stop coming by my own will?" He asked, and I stopped chuckling immediately.
"N-no! Y-you can come whenever you want. I just... Sometimes I forget that you're my spirit and think, when will Loke come? I want to meet him again..." I admitted and gulped. What was I doing?
Thankfully, Loke smiled. "You could call me more often. I'd be happy with that. If you want, we could just talk..." He trailed off, and now it was my turn to smile.
"Thank you, Loke," and with that, he left to his own world.
It was that same night that I was in my room and I opened his gate by my own means.
"Lucy!" He greeted me.
"L-Loke..."
"What's wrong, sweetie?" He asked
"I..." Was I really gonna ask this? Yes, I had to. "What do you think about a human loving a celestial spirit?"
I looked down immediately. I was scared of his reaction and what he could answer, but I had to look at him. I had to. I slowly started to raise my head and I saw his lips first. He was smiling.
