"Well personally speaking on this, I don't think he's going to fire you Asteria." Anna said over the phone.

"But why do I feel so.. That this is my first and last day of working at this place."

"Didn't you say he kind of smiled?"

"Kind of.. That's all I said. I don't even know if that can be counted as a smile or not. Now I doubt if it really did happen or was it just me hallucinating things," I said.

"Ah it's okay. Calm down first. Let's just wait. Whatever that has planned to happen will happen so don't you worry as of now." I agreed at this point with her so I eventually nodded. I did a few more orders and then I was asked to do the room servicing. The first room I had to clean was the same room I had gone to deliver my coffee for the first time. The old lady praised me for my brewing skills. After cleaning up, which means to put things in order as they are supposed to be, I came out and took the elevator and I saw the same bodyguard I had met upstairs. There was another person standing behind him.

"Oh it's you. Do you remember me? I delivered a coffee to the room your boss is staying at." the person behind him choked on his breath. I was worried if there was something wrong, so I immediately asked him if he was fine to which he replied in positive. He was being very polite. I could feel eyes on me. As soon as I turned to face the bodyguard, he shifted his gaze away.

"I-I just wanted to ask if he liked the coffee or not. If he did, then can he please not complain to my manager? I-it's my first day so... I-I won't make another mistake I promise." he didn't even spare me a glance.

I think I'm doomed.

He suddenly leaned towards me making me to lean back further and said,"For sure." I started to blush all of a sudden, heat burning all of my face.

I looked up to him. The same charming face, gorgeous brown eyes. I think I was getting zoned out again. I shook my head all at once as he straightened himself.

Did he just hear my thoughts?

What am I supposed to do. I think I had said it loudly. Since when have I started speaking thoughts? But why do I feel like I haven't said anything.

I stood there in oblivion. The elevators dinged and they stepped out on the ground floor. I watched them walk away. The elevators dinged again as the doors closed. Only then did I know that I had to step out on the very same floor. I immediately pressed the button and got out.

The man had disappeared. He usually appeared like mist and disappeared like one.

I walked towards the pantry. The same slouched face Ethan leaning over the counter with his elbows for support and his face resting on top of them. As soon as he saw me, he corrected his posture and the same mock smile began to dominate his facial features. I hated him for some unknown reason.

"Let me guess. Your boyfriend dumped you since you have a better job than him."

"What?? No one dumped me," I retorted angrily.

"So you do have a boyfriend, " he said.

I gasped, "No I don't have one...," Who did he think he was to judge me about having a boyfriend or not. I hated people judging other people the most out of everything.

"Why does it bother you though. Mind your own business."

"Alright I get it,"he said. " You're a tough chick to crash."

I started to blush at his choice of words. I couldn't help it. I used to get flustered too easily since I had literally no control over my emotions. I had never learned to tame them.
