"Ok, from the top" I said as I pressed the play button on the speaker. I saw a woman standing in the doorway of the studio.
"keep going, I'll be right back" I said to the dancers as I walked towards the woman.
She had this look on her face. I knew that look. I had perfected that look.
"Detective Annalise Villa?" She asked as I approached her.
"Just Annalise Villa, I'm uh..." It's hard to find a good way to tell someone you were fired. "not a detective anymore." I stated looking down. I missed that job. I missed everything about it.
"So, what is it. Who died." I asked. Closing the door behind us as we walked into the hallway.
She looked at me, shocked.
"I was a homicide detective for 8 years. I know that look. It's the I'm sorry you just lost someone but now I have to interrupt your grieving and interrogate you about them look."
"Sarah Wilson. She was in a car accident. We found her..."
The woman's voice faded into the background as the news sunk into me.
"No." I interrupted.
"I'm sorry, I know it's hard to accept when a loved one has died"
"No. She... she was at my house. She was waiting for me to get home. This is all wrong." I mumbled to myself. I thought back to what she had told me back at my place. Josh was back. Josh was... Oh my god.
"I need her body." I blurted out. Clearly, my outburst had started the woman as she stared at me with a concerned look.
"I don't need the body... that came out wrong. I think she was murdered. I need her body to be transferred to a private pathologist. In Miami." I said.
"of course, but it won't be covered, you will have to pay for it."
I nodded, giving her the address and contact information of Magic City Labs.
I didn't know if I was making the right choice, seeing Rosie again. I knew it would be hard. I didn't want to do it. But if Sarah was right. If Josh did this to her, I couldn't let him get away with it. And I couldn't let him be near Grace. So, I had to go back. I had to go back for her.
When I got back to my house, I cancelled all my classes for the next two weeks. Then I got right to packing. It was weird, I found myself struggling a lot with what to pack. Trying to pick the clothes that looked best on me. I guess part of me wanted to show Rosie what was missing. To show up, looking amazing, having moved on happily. But I haven't moved on. Not at all. I threw all the clothes into a big duffle bag and walked into the bathroom. I stared into the mirror for a few seconds before I pulled it off the wall, revealing a safe, tucked into the back of the wall. It was old and rusty and about the size of a shoebox. I put in the combination and pulled the door open. It made an awful creaking sound. I pulled out four large envelopes. Each full of cash. I knew that even though I was able to make enough money to be able to afford a nice house and a fancy car, there was no way I could afford to pay the kind of bills I would have to pay for this autopsy and still stay on my feet. Back before I started donating the money Marcos gave me, I stashed some away. In case of an emergency. And this was as emergent as it was going to get. I put the envelopes in the duffle and covered them with more clothes. Then I picked up the duffle and walked out the door.

Rosie POV
I unzipped the black plastic body bag to reveal the body that had been sent to my lab from LA. I assumed it was Adrian, maybe he was backed up at his lab and needed some help. I didn't mind, we didn't have any other cases going right now.
After several hours of running tests and examining the body, I found nothing. There were no chemicals in her system, all her injuries resembled those of a car crash victim. Judging by the body, there was no reason to suspect foul play.
"I don't see what we can do, there is no reason to suspect murder. I think this was just an accident. Has anyone talked to the family?" I asked looking at Pippi and TMI.
"if you did you would know that she was murdered." I heard a voice from behind me. I would recognize that voice anywhere. I turned around to see her standing at the top of the stairs. I saw her eyes scan the room, taking it in before they settled on me. I looked up at her. It felt like an eternity. that eye contact. She smiled at me. A small smile. it wasn't much but... it was everything. I took it in for a minute. She standing there, smiling at me. In that instant, it felt like nothing had changed.
"Annalise,"
"Rosie," She replied
