Well here I am... I don't know who I am or where I am. I don't know why I'm here... I don't know anything! I'm alone in a dark room and I can hear the wind howling around outside. I'm only in a small room and I'm lying on a bed. It's cold in here. I'm just laying here trying to gather the strength to move, I finally roll off the bed and land on the floor. It's tiled, I struggle to get up and then i could see a small line of light where the door is. I slowly moved myself towards the door and open it. I'm so blinded by the brightness of the room that I stopped for a minute to adapt to the light. Once I was able to see, all I seen was destruction and wreckage of tall buildings everywhere! There no humans or anything living anywhere... All I can see is the city and in the distance a giant fire, It stretches from one side to the other of the city and its heading this way, and moving fast. I'm at the top of the building and I'm at least 70 floors up, there's a giant hole ripped out of the building, I'm frozen with what feels like concrete filled shoes, staring out in amazement. And it's still quiet, I can't hear anything. The silence is almost deafening. As soon as I was finished taking it all in and deciding what to do next I turned around and looked back into the dark room that I had stumbled out of to discover the world I had forgotten, I started asking myself questions like who am I? Was the world like this before I forgot everything? Was I sent here and why? Who did this to me? And why? That was the biggest question of the many going through my head. I decided to search the floor for useful stuff I could find. Anything to remind me of anything and hopefully I could put it together and answer those questions. After searching the floor I found a small pocket knife and a lighter. I decided to move from this building and find someone els, there has to be someone els here doesn't there? The fire was getting close and the building becoming dangerous from the damage it had sustained. I went to the emergency stairs and started my descent with pocket knife in hand for my own protection... It was still quiet, all I could hear was the echo from my footsteps bouncing down the stair case, after some time I got to the end of the stairs with a door in front saying emergency exit. I pushed it open and walked through. I got out far enough to see the whole building I was just in, all the glass shattered with enormous shards hanging from what appeared to de strings of wire. There was no glass where I was standing, directly under the building. That was wired. But I didn't think any more of it and continued my quest for people. I followed one of the main roads out of the city and onto the freeway and continued to follow it. There were no cars. Nothing to show that anyone had left the city this way. I eventually got to a look out, after what seemed hours of walking and short burst of running, exhausted and thirsty I was staring at the building I had woken up in, consumed by the fire. I watched the weak building I was in not so long ago fall and crumble to the ground. Like it was never there. And then the screeching sound of the crashing building on the pavement hit my ears. I turned away and continued searching for other people.
