Best Women's Wrestler Tournament

INTRO + INFO

Hi everyone!

I've put a lot of work into this, I hope y'all participate in this!

This tournament is going to consist of 3 32-woman brackets. These brackets include ALL the women from WWE, NXT (regular and UK), AEW, and all but one from Impact (because she's a huge racist and doesn't deserve to be in this tournament). That comes out to being 96 women altogether! Because it's so many, that's why I went ahead and did 3 separate brackets, and whoever wins each one will face off in a triple threat final!

A few things to know before I get to the actual rules and stuff:

-This only includes active wrestlers! No Hall of Famers, no retired women, none of that. Because of that, I'm not including Maryse or Maria Kanellis since 1) they are both on maternity leave, and 2) they didn't wrestle a whole lot anyway, they were mostly managers.

-There are some people who are injured that we haven't seen in a while (like Ember Moon). They WILL be included.

-I have included Zelina Vega though, since she does wrestle fairly regularly (at least, more regularly than Maryse and Maria).

-I am not at all familiar with Impact, so I simply went through the Knockouts roster on Wikipedia and included all of them (besides the racist). If it turns out one of those women is only a manager, I am sorry. Usually Wikipedia tells you if someone also manages, and it didn't say that about anyone.

-Like I mentioned, there are 3 different brackets, so if you don't see your favorite wrestler in the first one, don't worry! She is almost definitely in one of the other two! (Especially because I don't think ANY of the 4 Horsewomen are in the first bracket)

-I compiled my list, randomized it, then put 32 women into a bracket generator, and randomized THAT. I am trying my best to get cool, un-thought of matchups. There will probably be a lot of WWE vs. WWE matchups, just because they have so many people signed to their roster, but just in the first round, there will be WWE women facing off against AEW, Impact, and whatnot.

-I've also included 3 women from NWA, simply because I needed to round it out to 96. Two of them were in the Mae Young Classic (each from a different year), so hopefully y'all are familiar with them.

-I've also included women signed to WWE who haven't debuted yet, but only if we've seen them wrestle (such as women who have ONLY appeared in a Mae Young Classic or women who wrestled elsewhere before signing).

-...and finally, I've included some women from both Mae Young Classic tournaments not signed to any major promotion. These women are very active on the independents, so hopefully you're familiar with them.

-Okay one more thing: there are two women on here that I wasn't gonna include because I know barely anything about them, and I think they might just be jobbers at this point. If you look through all 96 women, and you think someone has been overlooked, let me know! I will replace one of those women (no offense to them, but like... if they're losing all the time anyway, they probably weren't gonna get many votes). However, if there's a reason someone isn't on this list, I'll let you know (that really only applies to a select few, though).

(also, I didn't include Ronda Rousey, but only because she's no longer active)

Okay, so this is how we're gonna do things!

So the very first chapter of all this will be the very first bracket. I'm gonna post a picture of the bracket at the beginning of the chapter, then I will go through and type out each matchup like this:

You may vote for ONE WRESTLER PER MATCHUP. You can't vote for both of them! That's not how voting works!

Please do it as an inline comment, it's easier to count the votes that way.

We'll do ALL the round one matchups the first week, then next week we'll do round 2, and so on. I'll title the chapters like "Bracket 1, Round 1".

If you want to make sure someone wins (especially if it's gonna be an upset victory), make sure to tag your friends!! Make sure they vote! I'd prefer if you voted on ALL the matchups, but if you don't recognize either woman in a matchup, don't feel pressured to pick one (though I do suggest looking them up, seeing what they're about; you might find a new favorite wrestler!).

The best way to describe this is a popularity contest! You aren't picking who would win in a wrestling match; you're picking who you like more. Sometimes, it might be hard, so pick who you like the best.

I'll give a deadline when voting ends, and over the next 1-2 days, I will add up the votes and post the winners! I'm only doing pictures for the winners, mostly because you can only include so many pictures in a chapter. After I post the winners, I will post the next round of matchups!

I'm gonna leave this chapter up for a day or two before posting the first bracket, just so y'all can ask questions if you have any!
