Libby glances at the paper. A map. "What the heck?" She whispered aloud. "Hello? Is anyone here?" No response came. She sighed. Libby looked up at the sky. It was snowing still but Libby wasn't overly cold.
It was strange. She was only wearing a small jacket made only for fall but it kept her warm. The crows flew by overhead. There was seven of the majestic creatures. "Well you guys got me into this mess, maybe you can get me out of it." She said.
Having nowhere else to go she followed the crows. Nothing appeared for multiple minutes of walking until a bride could be seen. It drifted into the fog to where the end was unseen.
"Please be a way out, please be a way out." Libby silently murmured. The bridge looked rickety and old. It went over a deep large gap. The crows perched up on a tree that sat on the other side. They looked as if they were waiting for her.
"You know since you guys are so majestic why can't you just fly me to the other side?" Libby asked the birds, not expecting a response. On of them gave a little 'caw'. Libby giggled.
Libby our one hand on the side of the bridge and in an instant the old and broken looking bridge immediately was replaced with a beautiful wood bridge that had flowers growing from the sides. The canyon was replaced with a lake with a beautiful waterfall.
Libby gasped. She stumbled backwards. After taking a moment to process, she shakily went up to the bride, it looked much sturdier now. Libby took a deep breath before stepping onto the bridge.
It didn't shake but instead steadily held her. She took another step. Then another, then another, and another, until she was on the other side.
From the moment she stepped onto the crunchy snow it melted and instead sprouted beautiful greenery. Libby stared in disbelieve. She took another step and more flowers bloomed. The snow began to melt around her.
She took more and more steps, playing with this new 'ability'. A path came into view. At the moment Libby was in awe and didn't comprehend that the snow had stopped falling and that the sun began to shine brighter.
Libby followed the path until she reached what appeared to be a rustic looking cottage. It looked like something a stereotypical fairy lived in but larger. She hesitantly went up to knock on the door.
"Uh, hello?" Libby Said as she knocked on the old looking door. In her mind is peculiar how such a majestic bridge could lead to such a strange looking house.
A women with a flowers in her green hair and and a dress that looked casual enough to be a nightgown. The simple was of the dress didn't fit the fancy-ness tall women.
"Oh dear, aren't you beautiful! Come in, Come in!" The women exclaimed as she opened the door wider. Libby was hesitant but headed inside either way.
"I'm sorry, I'm afraid I must have gotten lost. I have no idea how I got here." Libby have a nervous laugh as she spoke, letting the peculiarness of the situation sink in.
"Oh, darling, your not lost. You've found your way home." The women says. She gave no further explanation as she got up and grabbed a beautiful looking tea cup from a rack. She made some tea and sipped it slowly.
"I'm sorry, what is you mean?" Libby asked, trying to be polite.
"Just that you've finally managed to get the message I've been trying to send to you for years now. I suppose you only just reached the appropriate time in your imagination." The women talked calmly and with a chilled tone.
Libby stared even more confused. "Was that letter from you?" She asked.
"It was invitation to your future." The women stared, avoiding there question. She sipped her tea again and gestured her hand over to a potted plant sitting in the windowsill.
Libby watched in amazement as the plant sprouted up and simple leaves shoes. The women walked up to the plant and picked off a couple lever. She put them in her tea.
"Did you just do that?" Libby asked, astonished.
"Libby, darling, you can do anything if you truly want it to happen." The women replied with a warm smile. Her voice spoke with calmness and her tone sounded slightly motherly. She was truly beautiful but her face looked slightly familiar to Libby.
"How is that you know my name?" Libby asked.
"Sweetheart, I know more about you then you do." The women said. "Now that your here I believe it's probably about time we get to business."
"Get to business? Ma'am, I have to get home! I have school a-and my mother-" Libby was cut off.
"Now, now, your mom won't be home for multiple days and school is but nothing to worry about." The women said. "Now let me get into something a little bit more comfortable."
The women gestured her hand again and plants immediately blossomed at the bottom and grew up. White Flower littered the dress as it gracefully draped over the women's body.
It was green, looking as if completely made of plants. The hair matched perfectly with it along with the women's brown skin. Libby stared in astonishment.
"Now dear, close your mouth before you catch a bee." The women spoke. She said it with such gentleness and kindness.
The women gestured her hand again, effortlessly making the wooden walls be replaced with a white textured marble, quartz, and beautiful white wall. Greenery covered the walls and plotted plants dotted the tables and floors.
The women have a light chuckle. "You have no idea how long I've waited for you, kiddo." She spoke. Libby cocked and eyebrow.
The women walked up p a wall that was completely greenery and pushed past it, moving the vines out of the way to reveal a corridor.
"Come along, dear, we have a lot to talk about." The women said.
Libby hastily followed her, pushing past the ivy. She was yet again left awe struck when y'all pillars and and high ceilings dotted the walls. It looked like a palace but with a lot more vines and flowers.
"Ma'am? Who are you? You seem to know me but I don't even know your name. " Libby States.
"Darling, you've known me your whole life. You've just never met me." The women said with such mysteriousness and grace. "My name is Gaia, goddess of the earth. Also known as mother nature."
Libby gaped. Out off all the things she had seen today this was still quite peculiar. "Mother Nature?" Libby confirms.
"That's my name, darling. Don't wear it out." Gaia Said. "Now come along we have much to discuss."
