Best friends to lovers?

First, you'd think since I'm Jeon Jungkook's best friend I'd be drowning in money, right? Well....no. I'm not THAT rich or THAT poor. I'm Middle class. I have everything I need even after my parents decided to live away. So before anything, I'm Choi Y/N, 21 years old,South Korean, my parents are living in Japan due to work and my brother is studying aboard. My parents would send me money monthly to have my essentials and of course to get what I want.

I was now heading to Bighit building with my McDonalds meals for the boys as a little thing to show them support and appreciation for their hard work. The bodyguards let me in knowing I'm Kook's best friend and they've seen me with him before. The receptionist passed me a smile which I returned. As I was walking closer and closer, the sound of the music got louder and louder. I looked at the window and saw them dancing to the 'ON', Jimin noticed me and stopped dancing which made the boys look at where he was looking and their eyes widened once they saw me but... Jungkook was reactionless. I shrugged it off and got into the room but I lost my internal cool when I saw him going to another girl hugging her tightly. You might think I'm misunderstanding but I know everything about him, his other friends besides me and the 6 guys, males and females and I know all his family members.

"Y/Nie, are you okay?" asked Taehyung.

"Huh? Uhh yes, nothing to worry about!" I flashed them a reassuring smile.

"Jungkook ahh, Y/N is here come now!" Hoseok said.

Jungkook just sighed and stopped talking with that girl that I wish to kill but I have no right to or a reason to in all of their perspectives. They didn't know about me liking Jungkook yet.

"Hi" his voice was monotonous. The members looked at him weirdly but they looked at the girl suspiciously, do they not know her ?

"I'm going to leave now... bye" she pushed me aside and left.

"We need to talk" I let out seriously and the members seemed to be worried.

"Let's first sit down, it's a long discussion." They nodded in agreement and went towards the couch.

"So, I may or may not have little, huge crush on Jungkook..." The members didn't have the shook reaction you thought will be on their faces.

"I mean it was kinda obvious.. yanno?" Yoongi interrupted the moment full of shock. One by one agreed on his point.

"R-really?!" I stuttered afraid of Jungkook knowing that I like him and that led to his attitude with me today.

"But do you know who this girl is?" I asked the question that I needed an answer for eagerly.

"No... we thought you did" answered Joon.

"So is this what you were staring at?" asked Jin as I nodded.

"Don't worry we'll ask him about her and why he was acting like that, but I'm sure he doesn't know about how you feel. He's such a clueless boy to notice it." Jimin, being the angel he is said trying to make me feel less worried.

"Ok, see you later" I tried to put on a smile when my inner self wanted to cry and scream. Without them saying anything else, I left the whole building.

Jungkook pov:

A week ago, I met a girl who looked about 19 years. I know it's wrong of me as an idol but I'm hanging out with her recently. She didn't know BTS, so I invited her to our dance practice today to take an idea about who we are. We were dancing to our new song but Jimin stopped and I thought it's break time and that it's a good idea to introduce them to the girl who I might be falling for. But Jimin was not moving and kept his gaze on something. We turned around to see that it was Y/N.... I almost forgot her. I didn't do anything, I was surprised to see her after 2 months. We didn't interact at all during these 2 months. I didn't go to her but went to Mina.

"I'm so tired..." I exclaimed.

"Want a hug?" She offered, my crush is asking for a hug! I nodded and hugged her. It was weird since we met a week ago but, who would resist their crush?! The hug didn't feel like how it felt when hugging Y/N.

"Jungkook ahh, Y/N is here come now!" It was all kind of comfortable till Hoseok hyung interrupted. For some reason I wasn't ready to talk to Y/N, just because we didn't contact each other for 2 months. I thought it will all be awkward.

"Hi" I just said bluntly, I think she knows why but it seems that she doesn't from the look of disappointment I saw in her eyes before leaving.

I was walking to my manager and ask him if we would take a break as we just come here and practice the same songs for 5 months already besides, it was quarantine period and we had to spend out days at home. I was still walking thinking about my plans with Mina mostly if he agreed until the person I was thinking of stopped me.

"How about you come to my house?" She suggested.

"I was actually going to my manager and ask for a break, if he agrees then I would surely love to come." I smiled at her not knowing that I'm hurting someone.

"Ok then, I'll leave for now... tell me what happens! Bye." She bid her goodbye.

*Time skip*

After a long time trying to convince my manager to take a break, he allowed not only me but the other members to have a break from work. I kept smiling thinking of their reaction when they find out. I was about to open the door until it opened revealing Taehyung.

"Where were you?" he unintentionally raised his voice while letting me in but I knew he wasn't starting a fight but he was just worried.

"I have good news!!!! We're having a break!" I squealed in excitement but... they weren't as excited as I thought which worried me.

"First, what the fuck? Second, who is that girl? Third, why are you distancing yourself from Y/N?" Yoongi asked not having patience in him.

"First, calm down. Second, this girl is Mina, I met her a week ago in the convenience store and don't worry she doesn't know us. Third, Me and Y/N haven't talked in a while and it's so awkward for me." I answered his questions in order.

"Mina doesn't know us but now she does and what if she gets bad intentions now or what if she uses us for some certain reason?!" Namjoon said. I was about to speak but Jin cut me off.

"If you say that it's 'awkward' for you to talk to Y/N in a while, then you're saying that you're never talking to her?!" Jin now lost his shit and screamed. I stayed silent, if I never make a move am never going to do it now or later?

"I-I just want to focus on making Mina mine..." I mumbled the last 3 words.
