It has been a month since Lauren Freedman stumbled into your life. Everyday you could feel Tom slipping away from you. Your best friend was now letting some other girl call him Tommy.. What the hell! Harrison and you had grown closer, if that was even possible. He ended up driving you to school everyday, since Tom now walked Lauren to school. That was something that hurt you the most, you and him had walked to school everyday since you were only two feet tall. How could he just drop you?
"Hey! Y/n!" Harrison shouted as he pulled up to the sidewalk. It was then, that you noticed Lauren walking towards Tom's house. Her long brown hair tied half up into a white bow. Her knapsack was white as well and was embroidered with purple lilies. She comes from the direction school is and obviously does not need to walk with your best friend. You knew that she lived exactly two minutes... walking distance... from your brick walled hell. It really pissed you off she decided to show up at 07:00 on the dot every day.
"You seem like something is bothering you" Harrison said, gesturing to the brunette boy and girl walking hand and hand on the side walk next to them.
"Uh- no." you said with hesitation "I just don't understand why he ditched me." you said looking down at your pleaded navy skirt. You twiddled your fingers all the way to school. Knowing that riding with Harrison would now be a normal thing and you most likely would not get to walk with your Tommy ever again.

School ended and you walked out of the building, not waiting like you used to. You placed your earbuds in your ears and turned on your current favorite playlist. You hummed along to the melody and looked both ways as you walked across the little cobblestone road.
You arrived at the place you call home and saw your whole family sitting in the parlor. You were confused. Why was everyone here? Shouldn't Mum be getting ready for work?
"Hunny, please come sit down" your pop said as he gestured to the spot next to him. When you sat down, you saw your mum with a tear-stained face in front of you and your little brother with puffy eyes and a slight blush to his cheeks.
"What is going on?" you asked, worry was spread across your face and you could see the hurt in your pop's face.
"Y/n.. sweetie.." your mum started, as a sob escaped her mouth. "Cooper.. h-he passed away today" your mum said as you saw your younger brother break out into tears, probably for the second or third time today.
"w-what?" your childhood pet, was gone. Never again would you feel the sweet kisses on your face, or his snout nuzzled into your side when storms brewed in the sky. You started to tear up and hugged your little brother. Sobs started to escape your body and your whole family just sat there, holding onto each other and mourning the loss of Cooper. The dog who was with you for your first steps, your first football game, and even you and your best friend's first day of school. Cooper was the dog who comforted you when you saw Tom with Lauren for the first time. He was with you for everything. You never realized how old your golden retriever had gotten.
Your family went to your favorite place for dinner. And when you came back home, each of your family members went to their rooms. Mum and Pop were probably looking at old pictures, Tate was playing video games with his friends. And you.. you were sitting there, wishing your best friend was next to you.
After an hour of moping in your room, you knew you need to see him, Tommy. You raced out of the house and knocked on the Holland's front door. Dom answered and knew right away what the problem was, he motioned for you to go up stairs as you hugged the sweet man. You opened the door to Tom's room and saw something. Something absolutely horrid.
