Darkness. Is what they thought for their future. Nothingness. Is what all of them saw. They all thought the same. Nothing in their future but the stairs of cold, emotionless eyes and stone like life on the grey brick roads of Ribāsaido. The sun rarely ever showed through the thick clouds that always threatened to rain, but never did. She's been gone. A while. A lot longer than she promised. The river beside the town ran dry. They starved. They craved the fresh taste of water and half cooked cow meat. But since her.... Disappearance.... The place lacked it. The queen, just new and young, had doubts about herself. She didn't think she was good enough to perch on the balcony and look down on what she expected to be a healthy, lively town. But what she got was a place full of misery. This all happened because one child, a guardian, had left. Rinku was the name of this child. A hybrid between a Hyena, Snow Leopard, and Sabor Tooth Tiger. She was a strong brave one. Great enough to protect the place she lived. But some doubted her. And that doubt grew when she never returned. Rinku was supposed to protect the village, like every other guardian out there. But it seems to them that she failed to do so. But did she really? Did she have other problems in the way of the original task? The task was simple enough. So they thought. To destroy the beast of timeline destruction, Zeitleiste. A insane monster who doesn't care about a single soul. It tricks you and breaks down your mind. Slowly. But if you're evil enough you might last longer under it's gaze. But no promises. Traveling through a timeline is difficult for a mortal. But to a immortal or spirit it's quite easily done. Zeitleiste isn't necessary any of them. If it dies in one timeline is comes to life in another. It's main objective is to destroy anything and everyone. It can take a form or stay in it's normal self. Occasionally it will go into a silent ones mind and obsorb their anger and sadness to become stronger. Once the silent one is dead then it's free from their mind and does as it pleases. Rinku had no fear of the warnings. She was determined to drive the thing away. So she set off. Let's start from when it all began, shall we....?
Rinku's Perspective
I looked behind myself from the gate. At the worries and doubtful smiles. Did they doubt the Queen's decision? I brushed the feeling off and started walk away. The forest path was soft on my paw pads. It felt like sand or palmidust. Every time my foot hit the ground little swirls of it came from below my feet. It left my print behind. The trees around me were tall as rays of sunlight poked it's way through the pine needles that sprouted on the twigs and branches, making the rest of the forest look dark and mysterious. I followed the path for a long while. I enjoyed my surroundings. The ground around the path was make up of dead pine needles that laid thickly on the squishy dirt. I saw a bit brighter of light ahead. My walking spread up to trotting. Eventually my paws hit the grass of a field. Over half the field was surrounded by trees while the rest went on. In the distance there was a huge castle. The main castle of the entire continent.
