Oliva runs into the wall, sweat dripping down her back the cuts on her arm burns like fire but she ignores it and glances behind her. Leo lays on the floor wheezing. Panic starts to set in as she hears the footsteps of the soldiers surrounding her.
"Leo get up you idiot! We have to move!" She screams. After hearing no response she runs back and pulls his limp body up to her own.
"You're gonna get killed if you drag me along! Drop me and get to Greyson we need his men to back us up." Leo winces.
"Olivia Lancaster and Leonardo McMillian take one more step and you're both dead!" The soldier yells, flashing a large spotlight on both of them. They both slowly raise their arms, Leo sighs and looks up into the sky.
"Love, I need you to run as fast as you can when I count to three okay?" He whispers with a smile.
"What?! Don't be stupid--"
"One."
"Leo please don't do this to me!"
"Two."
"Don't you dare die on me! We have to make Greyson's birthday cake!"
"Three!" Olivia turns to the large fence behind her and sprints to it, she can hear the gunshots and yelling behind her. She drops down from the fence and slips away into the shadows. Taking a minute to calm herself down. Her whole body shakes and she takes a deep shaky breath.
"Leo you idiot!" She yells.
"Woah Woah Woah, princess what's wrong?" Greyson whispers, pulling her closer to his body. Olivia opens her eyes to see Greyson's worried face. She sets her ear on his chest to listen to his steady heartbeat.
"I don't want Leo to die." She cries into his shirt.
"Did you have another bad dream? I promise you Leo isn't going anywhere anytime soon." Greyson reassures.
"What time is it?" She mumbles wrapping her arms around Greyson tighter.
"How am I supposed to check if I am glued to the bed?" Greyson chuckles reaching to his bedside table.
"Don't go anywhere..." Olivia says drifting back to sleep.
"Always so quick to fall back to sleep, I'll give you a few more hours." Greyson slowly pulls Olivia off of him and replaces himself with a large pillow. "Luckily I'm prepared for this." He mumbles. He walks over to the closet and changes into his normal black tank top and skinny jeans. He leaves the bedroom; taking one last look at Olivia snuggled up next to a pillow. He closes the door and goes downstairs.
His cafe was his pride and joy, he spent years building it up to what it is now. Last year he won many awards for his cakes and the business is still steady. Only two people work there full time, occasionally three when Olivia feels like it.
"Is she still sleeping?" Leo says walking through the front doors. His bright red hair sticking up in random places.
"Yes, today she gets to sleep in a bit longer than normal. I don't think she is gonna be okay to go to school yet again." Greyson sighs putting some random cookies on the display case.
"Another nightmare? Last time she wouldn't leave your side all day because of it." Leo says grabbing his apron off the hook.
"Eventually she will have to go to school, I don't want her to screw over her future by hanging around me," Greyson says.
"Oh come on, you know she won't ever leave your side. The three of us have been through way too much." Leo laughs.
"Anyway, I need you to get the shipment from the store today and when you come back to wake her up," Greyson says. He takes out ingredients for the cakes and sets them on the counter.
