Nobody really imagined what's it like to be in a rich family with a simple dream; living  in a nipa hut, gardening your own vegetable and walking with your children and husband like a simple family would do ,but these were the only thing a 15 yr. old Spanish girl really dreamt of having when she grows up.

It was a sunny afternoon, in a ship named "La Rosa" where a teenage girl simply peeking and eavesdropping at the Captain's door.
She carefully put her head leaning against the door to hear what the people inside where talking when she heard the Captain spoke and the door suddenly opened, she squealed and ran like her life depended on it.

It was year 1890 when Lucia Emelia Da Rosa arrived in the City of Manila, Philippines. She just heard the news from the Captain itself. Carefully running through the narrow path while grabbing her skirt up, Emilia went to their assigned room and enthusiastically told her mother about the news,

"Mamá, we've arrived!"

"Iha, behave! Don't run around like a madman, your father might see you." her mother responded while grabbing Emilia to sit beside her.

"You know that we will have our new life here in the Philippines, right? This is a big thing for your father. He was promoted to be incharge of a coconut company for the Galleon Trade."

"Yes Mamá, you've explained it already to me. I already said my farewells to all my friends in Spain."
Emilia chirped excitedly.

"Good. Let's go. I bet our new house will be as pretty as our old one in Spain." she smiled at Emilia as a loving mother would do.

Both Ella Da Rosa, Emilia's mother and Emilia went out to look at the beautiful scenery of Manila bay as the ship "La Rosa" about to dock at the port of Manila.
