Introduction

It wasnt long until she told me.

Poured out the deceiving story of how things went by.

The nightmares she still relives everytime she closes her eyes.

How she still flinches with the touch of things.

She says she still sees them. Their faces gleaming on screens.

She says she still hears it. The reaping its called or something, she says she never wanted to have kids.

She told me about her friend Gale. Although she didnt say it, Gale seemed a lot more of a friend then she described.

She doesnt speak much of her family. Grandma doesnt visit us very often.

She doesnt talk about her sister. Prim she says. Her face softens at the name.

Out of everything she tells me. He is the one memory she says that is still with her today.

My father, Peeta Mellark.
