(AN: THIS IS A MEMORY!  I KNOW OIKAWA DIDN'T ACT LIKE THIS IN JUNIOR HIGH THIS IS JUST HOW SANAKO REMEMBERS HIM)

Sanako Yoshiiko walked through the halls of Kitagawa First Junior High, on her way to the gym. She didn't go here, but her boyfriend did. As she entered the gym she froze.

"You know, I'm not really sure I love Sanako. I mainly only started dating her for her fame."

"O-Oikawa-Senpai you might wanna-" Sanako stopped him by putting a finger to her lips. Oikawa glares at his underclassman and and continued to ramble on about all the bad things about her. Clearly pissed, she entered the gym removing his volleyball jacket from her waist and threw it at him.

"What the hell Tooru?!" She screamed. Oikawa turned to her with a glare, as he puts his hands on his hips. "I should've known our relationship was one-sided!" She wiped the tears from her eyes as she shot a deadly glare at him. "I should've listened to him about you....I'm so done." Oikawa rolls his eyes and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Oh, come on no-" she slapped his hand away.

"Don't touch me!" Sanako yelled. Oikawa tried to calm her down again, only to get a slap across the face. She glared at him again. "We're over Tooru!"

That all happened more than a year ago, everytime she remembered it pissed her off.  She took a deep breath and sat up from her bed. She took a minute to stretch. As Sanako began to put on her new school uniform, she heard a yell from her window.

"Sanako you up? Or do I have to come over there and get you out of bed?"

Sanako giggled. "I'm up Daichi. Worry about yourself,"

The two grew up together, it was only natural as they're neighbors. They both share one main common interest. Volleyball.  Sanako adjusted her bow and went downstairs. When she got downstairs she was greeted by her mother.

"Ah, good morning Sanako." she nodded at her mother, who was offering her a plate of fresh scrambled eggs. Sanako took it and ate quickly. Just then, there was a knock on the door. "The door is open Daichi!" Her mother called. The door opened.

"Sanako let's go. Or we'll be late." Daichi said in a stern voice. Sanako nodded and got up.

"Bye Mom! I'll text you when I get home." Her mom nods and Sanako disappeared out the door.

The walk was mainly silent to Karasuno High. When they got there, they stopped outside the school gates. Daichi turned to Sanako.

"Did you remember the form to get into the volleyball club?" Daichi asked her. Sanako nodded.

"Of course!" She rummaged around in her bag until she found the form. "See? It's right here!" She laughed. Daichi nodded at her.

"Then let's go."

Sanako took a breath and looked down at her feet. She took a step forward. She looked up and followed Daichi around the Karasuno campus. After finding her way to her class, she sat down in a seat and watched fellow firsts years file in.  Among them was a small ginger boy. To her, he was familiar but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. He noticed her and his eyes sparkled. He smiled brightly as he ran over to her.

"H-Hey! Your Sanako Yoshiiko right?! One of the top five aces for girls!" The ginger said to her. With a small chuckle she nodded.

"Yep, that would be me...and you are?"

"O-Oh! Shoyo Hinata," Sanako nodded and held her hand out to shake his. He shook it with excitement. She then pointed at the seat next to her and motioned for him to sit down.

"So...do you play volleyball too Hinata?" She asked the boy, he nodded.

"Yeah! I wanna the next ace for Karasuno!" He said happily. Sanako however, looked at him confused.

"But...you're so short...can you really be an ace with your height?"

"I can jump!" He stood up to show her but Sanako shook her head.

"Show me later Hinata. I gotta stop by the boys gym later anyway, the captain is a good friend of mine."

"Woahhh! You know the captain?!" Hinata looked even more excited. Is that even possible?

Sanako nodded. "Yeah, he's my childhood friend. We grew up together."

Hinata opened his mouth but he wasn't able to respond. Their teacher came in and the school-day started. To Sanako, hell had started the moment the teacher walked in. She didn't like school....more of she didn't like sitting still. She had to be doing something. Taking notes from the board in the front of the class, she spun a pencil in her other hand. Trying to keep herself occupied until lunch. As teachers walked in out and of the class, switching places with one another it felt like a whole eternity had passed before the bell had gone off. With a sigh of relief Sanako stood up and left the classroom quickly. Looking for a vending machine or something. Eventually, she found one. But unfortunately someone had beaten her to it, and his facial expression showed that he was going to be a while. But, Sanako had recognized this boy and without her control she said the words.

"The king of the court..." with shock and anger written all over his face he turned to her.

"Don't call me that! I'm not the damn king!" The boy snapped back at her. Sanako was taken aback. She didn't expect him to still be so...so rude...so tyrannical.

"O-Oh right...sorry I'm-"

"I know who you are miss top five ace. You're the girl who slapped Oikawa in the face at practice once." When Tooru's name was mentioned Sanako gagged visibly.

"Ugh god! Don't bring that jackass into this." For a second it sounded like the 'king' had laughed. "But uh...Tobio Kageyama right....? Why here? I would've thought you'd try going to the more advanced academies. Like Shiratorizawa." He looked embarrassed, he looked away from her.

"I couldn't get in..." he said barely even audible. He then looked back at her with a rude expression. "Why did you come here? I thought for sure you'd go to somewhere elite."

"Why would I go somewhere already famous, when I could go somewhere that was once well known and bring back the fame?" Kageyama looked like he was taken aback. He didn't think about that. Maybe he could do that too. He moved to the side and let her use the vending machine. She bought herself apple juice and looked up at him. "You know...I've always wanted to spike one of your tosses. The superhuman one or whatever people called it," he looked at her...confused.

"Why? No one's ever spiked that toss, everyone on the court hated that toss. Why would you want to spike that?" He looked angry now. She understood though. She's seen it, the wing spikers, and the ace shy away from that toss.

"I want to because I know that I can do it!" Sanako said with confidence. He only scoffed and turned away.

"Like hell you can," Kageyama said as he started to walk away from her.

"How can you be so sure?!" Sanako retorted. He stopped in his tracks. "After school today! I'll persuade the girls captain into using the gym. All you gotta do is show up, and toss me that damn toss,"

"Fine. If it'll make you shut up. I give you that damn toss," Kageyama said and walked away. Sanako silently cheered and skipped back to her classroom to finally eat.
