Chapter 80

Kaia got changed after her, Zayn and the kids ate breakfast. The twins were off to school. Today was the day she and Marian were going to go see Marian's flat. Even if it would be a temporary move. It had been about two weeks since the night they had told her about Harry's infidelity and her decision to leave him. 

Zayn has taken her to visit her new attorney and get things going with her wishes and wants out of the divorce. The papers would be filed soon and then Harry would be served with the divorce papers. "Why are you so nervous, baby?" Zayn asked her. 

Kaia shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know to be honest." She said as she finished putting on her boots. "I wonder if she's going to remember her flat."

"Well, you'll soon find out," he said and stood up and tilted her face upward and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. "Now, I need to get ready for my date," he teased her. 

She rolled her eyes at him. "Cradle robber," she teased him back. "What are you going to do with Faith and Karim?"

"There's a new children's museum that opened up. Might take them there."

"That sounds like fun," she said as she headed to the bedroom door. "Come, Karim," She said and took her son's little hand. "We'll be in the kitchen."

She and Karim walked back to the kitchen and she made another cup of tea. She put Karim back in his high chair and waited for Marian and Faith to arrive.

Marian has bought Faith a new romper for her day out with Zayn and Karim. It was pink and featured a monkey riding a carousel. She wasn't sure why but it reminded her of something that was important to her in some way. "Are you ready to see Uncle Zayn and Karim. He said the three of you are going to have a fun time today."   

She still hadn't heard from her husband other than the casual good mornings and his conversations with Faith. She could tell that Alexandra wasn't far away and often called him away while he was talking to Faith. It still made her as pissed as hell that he was sleeping with his assistant behind her back. 

"Z!" Faith smiled.

 "Okay, let's go see our second family."

 Twenty minutes later, Marian and Faith we're knocking on the Malik's door.

 "Stay here, Karim," Kaia said to her son as he happily ate his goldfish crackers. She went to answer the door. "Morning," She said with a smile.

"Morning, I have someone ready for her play date," Marian smiled.  Still unsure.  "Are you sure you found me the perfect place?"

"Perfect for now," she said with a smile. "Aren't you the cutest thing," Kaia said smiling st Faith. She didn't miss the monkey on her jumper.  "Come in, I have Karim in the kitchen.  Do you want some coffee before we go?"

"Thanks and no, I don't think my nerves could handle coffee at the moment." She sighed. "I'm still on edge about this whole thing. Half the time, I think I'm stuck in a loop that will never end."

 They walked into the kitchen and saw down at the table. "How have things been with you and Harry these past two weeks?"

"Strained, but cordial," she said handing Faith off to Kaia."I have her diaper bag right here. It should have everything she will need for the day.  Harry mainly calls to tell Faith goodnight or good morning. They chat for a few moments then Alexandra calls him away for "Important business things" she said with air quotes.

Kaia took Faith into her arms and kissed her cheek and then rolled her eyes. "I bet," she said with a snort. "You look tired. Have you not been sleeping?"
