I just arrived in school, It was early, still sleepy I went up the stairs to class. I saw Cassie sitting on her desk sketching, I came over and greeted her "Goodmorning." She didn't answer.

I guess she was still mad at me for eating all the cookies I promised to give her yesterday.

"Hey,are you still mad at me?" I asked her but again she didn't answered back.

I drop my bag to the floor and kneeled over to get the bag of cookies, pulled it out, got up and gave it to her. Here all yours, happy now?"

"Pretty much,Thanks." She then grabbed the cookies and then hugged me.

"So.... Mrs.Robinson is not yet here right?"

She nodded, I went to my place and and gave her a signal that we should talk later. My desk was near the window and I could see Lucas arguing with Sasha, his girlfriend. Their voices were barely audible but I could still make it out from the window.

"Is it because of her? Sasha asked

"I-I'm not sure." Lucas's hand touching the back of his neck while looking into Sasha's eyes.

"Not sure? Then you're not yet over her then." This time Lucas looked at Sasha's eyes, there were tears pouring down her face.

"I-I'm sorry,I really am."

I could her the loud sound that echoed when the hand of Sasha hit Lucas's face and slowly walked in the opposite direction from him but then she turned around, managed to smile even though her tears showed that she was deeply hurt because of him, she then said something I didn't quite catch and then left.

Ouch, that must have sting. I said to myself while looking through the window.

After that I was just confused, I have only one question running through my mind. Who's her? I have known Lucas since childhood but he never told me anything about liking another girl, he only talked about Sasha, I had feelings for him and wanted to tell him before Sasha came to the picture, but fear of rejection took over me, so I never told him.

Flashback

I was heading to the hospital to visit my mom , It was raining that day, Lucas came with me and brought some fruits to give them to mom, When we got on the hospital, I noticed the smile on his lips that never faded away since we left school.

"So...Lucas did something good happen? That smile of yours never left."I pointed out his smile.

"There was a girl at school who confessed her feelings for me through a song, She asked for a date and I agreed." My heart sank at that exact moment he said that.

"Oh,really? I am happy for you man." I then cheered for him and can't help but give him a fake smile.

The date went well and soon they started dating. It hurts me to see them together but what can I do?

I convinced myself that I'll never have him and to just give up but my feelings seem to never fade away.

I liked him for years now and yet I can never bring myself to confess.
