"Won't you invite us in love?" he asked her as he watched her stare at him with wide eyes. Her lips parted as a soft gasp escaped her beautiful lips. She clutched the door frame as she came to terms that Ranbir Mithal was standing on her doorstep. The look on her face was enough for him to know that the last thing she had expected while opening the door was seeing him there.
Good. Now she knows that she can't run from him anymore. He still couldn't believe that he had finally found her after all these years. It had been so long that he had almost given up. But thank god he didn't lose hope, or else he could have never seen her again. "Ranbir!" she breathed his name as she blinked several times making sure she wasn't seeing things.
He watched her as she stood there frozen lost in her thoughts. He took this time to check her out. Her Shoulder length hair had grown almost to her waist and she might have gained a few healthy pounds. The last time he had seen her she was as skinny as a stick. And she wasn't wearing her glasses which she used to wear back in the day. What pleased him the most was that she had no signs of married.
Sapna had made sure that he could never find her, she had travelled all to the south just so that she could put as much as the distance between them. She had even stayed away from her own family just so that she could stay away from the limelight. And yet he managed to find her; a part of her was pleased that even after so many years he hadn't forgotten her, but this did not make up for what he had done to her.
"Why are you here Ranbir?" she asked or more like demanded as she finally composed herself. No way in the hell would she let him know the effect he had on her even after so many years. "Aren't you happy to see me again Princess?" he asked, stepping forward making her gulp in anticipation, damn why does he have to be so hot? "Why are you here?" she repeated ignoring the butterflies in her stomach.
"Let us in Sapna. We don't want to disturb the neighbors now, do we? Don't worry, we only want to talk," he asked, raising an eyebrow, still trying to sound calm. Honestly, he was anything but calm. Seeing her again had opened a new kind of desire in him which kept urging him to dump her on his shoulder and take her to bed. "No way am I letting you in." She snapped making him smirk. "Why? Is your lover hiding in there?" he snapped back getting annoyed with her hostile behavior.
Lover? What the hell is he talking about? She shook her head trying to clear her thoughts. "Look Ranbir, I have somewhere important to be so please don't waste my time. Just leave, I have nothing to do with you." She replied with a heavy sigh. Just watching him stand before her was enough to give her goosebumps. The mere fact that the twins could come out running looking for her worried her the most.
"We all have somewhere to be sweetheart, but still we are here for you. Hear me out once and then I promise I will not stop you. Just let us in. I promise you that it will not take long." she shook her head making him grow even more frustrated. Why was she being so difficult, he knew that he had been a jerk but at least he was ready to apologize to her.
"You are not going anywhere until you hear me out," he growled making her flinch. She knew he was angry but she kept telling herself that she did not care. "Now Brother, that's not the way you speak to a lady." Rohan snapped at him as he stepped forward. "I'm so sorry about my brother's rude behavior. You must be Sapna? I'm Rohan." He introduced himself kissing the back of her hand.
Sapna knew who he was, even though Ranbir had never introduced her to any of his family members she knew enough about his family. For instance, she knew that Ranbir had two younger brothers who were fraternal twins, which kind of explained why she ended up with twins. Rohan was a womanizing fashion photographer who also owned a modelling agency along with a couple of dance studios around India.
