Love Against Magic

Prologue

There's a young boy who seems lost in the middle of the forest. He was running like someone's chasing him. The fear and exhaustion are visible in his face until he reached into a dead end. The surrounding is eerie like and nothing can be seen because of the darkness swallowing all over the area. He stamped into something like a portal, he couldn't get a grasp and it's like his body was eaten by pure darkness. He submerged into a whole new world, leaving the little boy unconscious.

A group of children is playing hide and seek.
"Pagbilang ko ng tatlo nakatago na kayo." and then everyone hides, making sure that the latter can't easily find them.

"isa, dalawa, tatlo."

The boy removed his hands covering his face and slowly opened his eyes. He started searching for everybody all over the area but he couldn't find one. Until he finds himself in a very unfamiliar place. The boy was astounded because of the beautiful view that his eyes are witnessing. The place was covered all over by trees and peculiar flowers scenting a sweet like fragrance. The place was circular covered by colorful trees and sparkling dust slowly falling touching the surface. While in awe, he was suddenly blasted when a blinding light flashed from the very center of the area. Despite the force he received, he didn't stumble because of the adrenaline that caused him to hold back. He then squinted his eyes revealing his sight a young boy leaning in the grass unconsciously. He rushed towards the unconscious boy, he was astonished upon seeing the boy's face. The unconscious young man has a cute face, his skin is fair as pearls, and his hair is highlighted by pinkish color. He is wearing white fitted long sleeves with beads all over its skirt tasses. The design seems like a characters' costume in a fantasy movie. He seems to be the same age as him. He has an eerie and weird aura despite his beauty. The boy just stared him for so long like he was enchanted of his beauty until the unconscious boy momentarily regaining his awareness. Suddenly everything went black, the place surrounding them suddenly changed into a different place. He was anxious because of the sudden events and instantaneously searched his surroundings realizing that it was their backyard. He immediately grabbed the hands of the latter towards inside their house.

"Hi, I'm Rave! What exactly happened to you?"

The boy was frightened and couldn't even internalize what did just happened earlier.

"Ummm..." the pinkish haired boy blankly replied staring at the ceiling of the house. He then burst out and cried as random images flashed into his mind. It was a scary scene as everybody seems fighting against each other. Bloodshed was throughout the area, screams of the dying people, and a defeaning hollow sound.
He buried his face into Rave's chest while Rave was left no choice but to let him cry even it's quite uncomfortable.

"Ummm... sorry" the young boy said while wiping his tears and fixing himself.

"What's your name? What happened to you?" Rave replied.

"Ummm... I'm Le... Lex!" the boy stuttered. "I don't know what exactly happened to me. All I can remember is that I was running in the middle of the forest then suddenly darkness swallowed me and I was left unconscious until you found me there earlier." the boy continued in a monotonous tone. "Where exactly I am? This place seems so different."

"Ahhh... This place is our house and we're residing here at Brgy. Toyo, Bataan. BTW, enough for the talking. Look at you, you seem so drained and exhausted so don't force yourself and take a rest. I'll accompany you later to your house or ask for some help from my parents if it's serious. I'll just inform my parents about you later. Don't worry my parents are quite accommodating and good." Rave replied.

He escorted Lex to his room and let him sleep until he regains his energy.
