The break was only for three days and I spent most of it chasing after my little twin brothers.

Once upon a time, I used to adore them. Then I realized that happily ever after only lasted for a short while.

Dad took my coming home as a chance for him and uncle Tom to go for a men's weekend out. I know uncle Tom definitely needed it but dad just wanted to get away from the twins.

I had Stella over for the most part since Peyton was MIA. She hadn't been returning my calls nor replying my texts. It was almost as if she was ignoring me because Peyton always had my back and she never left me hanging.

Maybe I deserved it.

I hadn't been exactly keeping her in the loop these days.

When dad came back, he was like a new man. Uncle Tom looked none the better. From what I saw on dad's Instagram (don't ask why he even has one), they'd gone skydiving, white water rafting, bungee jumping and mountain climbing somewhere down north.

My dad lived for extreme sport. Uncle Tom? Not so much.

I had to admit though. I loved their friendship. It was so much like mine and Peyton's. I was the one who came up with all the crazy ideas, she was the one who had no choice but to be strung along with me. I always got her into trouble.

Like this one time in junior year, when I got her to help me spray the floor of the senior corridor with Windex just to get back in the seniors who'd advocated for a junior dance to get canceled.

It was funny really, when Caroline Mallory slid in her 5 inch heels. She didn't get hurt but she was out for blood. We were both suspended for two days but it was worth it. For me at least, because I had video evidence of Caroline's fall from grace and her pink Dora the explorer underwear. Peyton was dismayed though.

That was it! I would totally make a 'Peyton appreciation day.'

Someday.

Definitely!

Stella took me back to Sakuba. I was kind of excited because my team was starting to make progress with the arm. We had less than a week deadline till the 'cut off' day but I was sure we would be done soon. Hopefully, it would be good enough so our team does not get sent home a.k.a. sacked.

"Hey Easy!" I sang as I entered our room.

He was spiraled on his bed with his headphones in. Somehow he managed to hear me through his music and he raised of his head to squint his eyes at me.

Ha! I know your secret. You can see for shit!

"O'Hare," he simply said and went back listening to his music. I was curious at what genre of music the ice prince was interested in. Most likely some dark a brooding music.

I dropped my bag and slumped onto my bed carelessly. I plugged in my earphones and slid out my MacBook from its location. I logged into my IG and started browsing through my feed, scouting for my friends whereabouts. Apparently, the football team was throwing a party for winning the final game this weekend.

I checked my notifications and mindlessly accepted all my follow requests, but one request caught my eye.

Annabelle Richcrotcher-McGuire (@annierc) has requested to follow you.

I didn't confirm it but I went to her page instead.

She had 534k followers but her account was on private. So I did the only plausible thing I could think of. I went back to my page and started to archive my posts that had the least number of likes, then went back to her account and requested to follow.
