Elle is disciplined to live in a world where he should not make 'mistakes'. These mistakes, as Elle is told are Gambling, fighting, showing off and hatred. But Winning, having money and compassion are considered the 'right way of doing things'. Elle was told to not go against these beliefs because all believe, and no matter what you think is true, as a religion, celebration, a promise is wrong.
