It's been hours since they came to his apartment. He wasn't letting her out, especially in that state. She didn't stop crying and trembling ever since she saw her shoes. From that night. From that goddamn night. When he made the biggest mistake of his life.
When she realized she can't go back home to her sister looking like that, she asked for her phone. To call and let them know she won't be coming, that she's staying with Betul. Yağız gave her the phone and left her to talk in peace.
Hazan was finishing her phone call with Ece and Fazilet, just as Yağız was setting up the table. She threw the phone on the couch and started to cry again. He sat on the back of the couch, sighing.
She turned around and rudely asked "What are looking at?" He just answered her, "You remind me of someone. Someone who is afraid to cry."
"What?" she spat out.
"You did a good job. Not anyone can laugh while they cry." and walked away into the kitchen.
**********
Ten minutes later Yağız brought the food he cooked to the table and announced that the dinner is ready. "You must be hungry. Buyur!"
He called out her name. She was ignoring him. Her head was all over the place, the last thing she was thinking about was food.
"Hazan, you know, they say all single guys are great cooks. I'm not so bad myself. Come on, eat!" Yağız said, laughing a little bit to himself.
"Are you joking? I wouldn't eat your food even if I was starving. Enjoy." Hazan said to him rudely.
Yağız just rolled his eyes, said fine and sat down. She started looking around the apartment when her eyes landed on the alcohol. Without thinking, she got up, grabbed a bottle and took a swing.
Before she could drink another shot, he suddenly appeared next to her and grabbed the bottle. "Hey!" she screamed. "If you won't eat my food, then you won't drink my liquor." he said sternly. She just looked at him, completely mad. He took her by the arm, and started dragging her to the table. She was struggling and yelling at him "What are you doing, let go of me!"
He sat her on the chair opposite of his, leaned down and whispered to her."If you don't eat, I will lock you in this house with me for a week." He paused. "Plus, if you eat, then you can drink" he added.
She looked at him angrily, thinking of his words. He would actually lock her up. Yağız Egemen, arrogant as always.
"Fine" she finally said.
He smirked for a second, and immediately put his serious face on. He put some pasta on her plate and sat on his chair. She picked up the fork, and slowly started eating.
"Well... He really is a good cook." she thought to herself. She wasn't going tell him, he would get even more arrogant, if that's possible.
They were eating in comfortable silence, the only sound coming from the TV. Yağız was looking at his plate and eating. At some point he raised his eyes, and saw her face. She seemed to be enjoying. She felt his eyes on her so she looked up. He had that satisfied smirk on his face.
"Is it any good?"
"Does my opinion matter to you?"
"Yes."
"Then it's bad" she answered sarcastically, and continued to eat.
Both of them laughed for a second. Yağız pured them some wine and he drank some.
"She's cute when she's angry." he thought to himself.
