When Marik and I returned to the room I sighed out loud. He was watching me carefully. I kicked off my shoes and tore off my sweater then went back to my bed and crawled in with my back facing to him. I started to shiver instantly because it was fucking cold in this room. Why can they not just keep the fire going?

"Are you angry?" Marik asked quietly from somewhere behind me.

"Yes but I don't know why," I answered truthfully.

I heard him slowly make his was over to the bed and it dipped as he sat on it, "you know, I do rather enjoy you sleeping with me."

I rolled over to look at him with my eyebrows scrunched, "that sounds so dirty and you don't even realize it."

He was now very confused, "how is sleeping with you in my arms dirty?"

I sighed, "never mind, I'll tell you what it means another time. Right now I just want to sleep."

He smiled a little then crawled into the bed and wrapped his arms around my waist. I smiled a little to myself as I instantly felt sleepy and let myself be pulled into a nice dream once again.

**

This time when I woke up, it was on my own terms. It was after my dream had finished and it was when I was fully rested. And when I did finally wake up, Marik's arms around my waist were very noticeable. He wasn't holding onto me tightly, but his hands were on my stomachs skin. Where his hands were all I felt was weird tingles.

I slowly tried to turn my body around so I was facing him, but he was still asleep and his hands involuntarily tightened as if he thought I was trying to leave. I sighed and rested back onto the bed until I felt him hide his face into the back of my neck. "Why are you awake? Its still early."

I rolled my eyes, "its not that early, I can see the sun shining through the curtains."

He let out an unhappy groan as if he was the one being woken up halfway through his sleep very early in the morning to be called to a very important meeting.

I froze and sucked in a breath as I remembered that we were leaving today.

"Are you alright?" Marik asked, suddenly he was concerned about me. He lifted himself onto his one arm and leaned over me to look at my face.

I rolled onto my back, "goodbye warm bed. Goodbye warm castle." I frowned a little, "goodbye perfect nails and feet." Hiking and living in the mountains was sure to ruin them.

Marik smiled softly down at me, "you'll be fine. I won't let anything ever happen to you."

I sighed and looked at his face. He was completely honest and I could tell.

"And if you ever get sad, you can just go home in your dreams." He added with a brighter smile.

I scrunched my eyebrows, "how the hell do you know what I was dreaming about?"

He fell back onto the bed beside me and smiled up at the ceiling, "you know, I can tap into peoples dreams and help them see what they want to see. You wanted a normal day with your sister, and so I gave it to you. You then wanted a Christmas dinner with your grandparents, so I gave it to you."

I stared at him open mouthed.

He did what now?

"By the way, what is a Christmas?" He looked at me curiously once again.

"You saw my dreams?" I almost yelled. "Not only that, but you controlled them?!"

He turned to look at me with a sightly upset face, "What?"
