Sorry for the long wait on this chapter. Took literal months which it shouldn't have and I'm really sorry. I promised a chapter months ago and at first things in my life got hectic but by July things had settled down quite a bit and I had plenty of time to finish this chapter. The rest of that was nothing but laziness on my part. I even was planning to post this on Monday but once again, I got lazy and to that which I apologize.
Anyway, for these next couple of chapter I want the full amount of constructive criticism that you can give. I want you to voice your complaints and how I should do things better than I did them. I want this story to not only live up to your expectations, but to precede them. This story is not dead and it will be continued until it is finished.
Thanks for the continuous support and when I don't update use the comment section to get me out of my laziness. See ya in the next chapter!😁
A soldiers life wasn't a very easy one. Especially not when human eating titans were roaming around. It came with a lot of hardships and death that Saitama wasn't necessarily accustomed to. Sure he killed monsters and maybe a few people had died when that meteor struck City Z but it didn't have as much of an impact on Saitama as this did. And not only that but a Titan was in the wall that was supposed to separate humanity from the Titans. And with this new development, Saitama felt something he hadn't in a long time. Interest.
Saitama was still looking at the tarp that covered the spot where the Titan's head was. Even though Levi and Erwin had made sure that it was motionless Saitama just didn't trust it. Not after what recently just happened with Annie and all. He'd definitely wouldn't fall for the I can't breathe trick again.
Saitama turned as he heard someone land beside him.
Levi walked up to him and wordlessly stood beside him looking at the tarp. Saitama decided to start the conversation. "How's Petra doing? And where's the rest of the group?"
"Alive." Levi answered vaguely, turning to Saitama. "Stop worrying you won't make the same mistake twice. Right?"
"Nope. I won't be falling for that again. She almost ruined my suit, and I don't have any backups." Saitama replied, slightly dusting off his clothes.
"Hey Saitama," He called out, getting the hero's attention. "What do you think of it? About the Titan in the wall?" He asked before Saitama turned back to where it was.
"To be honest," he started. "I don't really know what to think of it. I thought all of them where outside the wall." He scratched his head as he turned to Levi, a question popping up in his head. "Do you think they're more in the walls?"
Levi hummed with a nod thinking over the question. It would seem that they were even more in the dark. It was something that the government wasn't telling them. Levi knew that but he didn't know how they would find out. There was a possibility of Annie knowing about this. And if she did he'd make sure she'd spill it, no matter how hard a shell of an egg is the inside is always soft.
Saitama turned from the wall and started walking away from it. Almost jumping off the building before Levi stopped him.
"Hey, where are you going?" Levi asked.
"Oh, to see Petra. I was gonna bring her some bananas." Saitama answered after turning to him. "Ya know, to help her get better."
"The fruit?"
"Yea, fruit helps everyone get better. Didn't you know that?" Saitama asked as if it was common knowledge before turning and jumping off the building. He made his way to the market. While Levi looked at his retreating form, muttering something about how stupid that sounded.
