                                               ~Chapter one~

I blew the hair out of my face. Why did I have to go stay with the Wieler character? My plane touched the military's airport, old, creaky wheel's squeaking. As I walked down the old pull-out stairs, Wieler came into view. He had white-blond hair, gelled ever so carefully into spikes, Black eyes, piercing gaze. When my feet finally hit the bottom, he put an arm around me and started to guide me toward the big gray building, looming over us, dwarfing us.

"I can walk!" I snap, shrugging his arm off my shoulders. He doesn't change expression though. Not a twitch nor flick of the face. Hmmm, a toughie, huh? Eeew. As we walked in to the building, the first thing I saw crumbled me to my knees. A boy around my age, in a blue-ish gray pajama-looking outfit, striped white. A boy. A barcode number. He was cleaning silverware., on a mahogany table. As we walked in, he looked up, meekly. He was beautiful. He had short, black hair and aquamarine eyes. And i felt pity for him.

"How dare you make eye contact with her!! You filthy scum!!!!" Wieler stormed up to the boy, grabbed his arm to drag him away from the silverware. When he got about a meter away from where we were, he punched the boy in the eye. The boy whimpered slightly. Wieler straightened and adressed the beautiful boy.

"Number 2709032Zr0, Adler, Shaein. You disobeyed orders directly."

Wieler's expression was laced with explosives.

Shaien paused, choosing his next words very carefully.

"I I-i was curious of the newcomer" Shaien stammered. He looked at the silver-ware, as if he missed it. Wieler slapped his face back toward his.

"You.........are dismissed, 2709032Zr0."

Wieler spun on his heel and put his hand out, as if he expected me to take it. I kept my hand by my waist, and stalked past him. He looked shocked. After a while, we came to an elevator. I walked in to find it was made of glass, through and through. Somewhat like 'Willy wonka and the Chocolate Factory.' Only without the handles on the roof. Wieler pushed a button for the 5th floor, the top floor. The ride up seemed to take forever. When we came to the top, there was a single corridor made of an ash-gray stone, covered in blood spatters, and scratch marks like some wildcat tried to pick a fight with it and lost. As we got near the end, I saw there was a door made of limestone. There were little holes and dents in it, suggesting someone had taken a couple of shots at it. Near the base of the walls and door, it looked as if some person had painted their hand deep red, and dragged it down-wards on the wall, near the bottom.

"This is where you will be staying, while you endure this place." Wieler was taking time looking over my body as if I were a project mutation of his. I walked in and closed the door in his horrid face.

I leaned against the door and waited for his footsteps to retreat. About halfway down, I heard a thud and muffled cry. I pressed my hand against my mouth, so not to shout and swear at Wieler, and tell him what a worthless bastard he is. A few seconds after the thud, a persistent sounding hand pounds my door, softly. I figured Wieler and/or his goons wouldn't bother with pleasantries, so I opened the door. There, on my so called threshold I found Shaien, nursing a broken nose. His gaze flickered to mine, like a old film, failing to incorporate itself completely, then back down again as he silently shuffled past me, into my room.

"I'm supposed to show you where everything is." Came his ghost of a whisper.
