Kurt snapped awake in a petrified cry. He kept his hands over his mouth in an unsuccessful attempt to keep Blaine asleep.

"Kurt, are you okay?"

Choked sobs began to emerge from the taller boy. Blaine quickly wrapped his arms around his boyfriend.

"Calm down, Kurtie." He whispered. "It was just a dream..."

A few seconds later, Kurt's hands stopped shaking. This allowed Blaine to give a weak smile. "What happened?"

"K-Karovsky fell..."

"What do you mean he 'fell?'" Blaine repeated.

"From the top of Dalton! He did that thing... that thing I almost did."

"He... tried to kill him self? In your dream...?"

Kurt quickly nodded. "In front of everybody! And it was my fault!"

"Wait, why would it be your fault?"

"Because... because..."

"There's no reason, Kurt. None of this is your fault."

"I just wanna be normal..." Kurt cried. "Why can't I be normal? I mean, look at me! I'm gay, I got bullied, had to transfer schools twice and now I've got death threats and these stupid dreams!"

Blaine rested his head on Kurt's shoulder and listened.

"You know why? It's because the world just hates me. They just have to do everything to hurt me-"

"No, Kurt."

"WHAT ELSE COULD BE THE REASON?!"

Blaine's eyes grew wide. "K-Kurt...?"

Kurt was taking deep breaths to calm down but it wasn't exactly working.

"But it made you stronger, right?" Blaine suddenly said.

"What?"

"Notice how you're still here. You made it through."

Kurt was quiet for a second before slowly nodding. "Yeah, I guess so."

They sat in silence for a minute before laying back down. Blaine got closer behind Kurt so he could hold him. It took a while, but after Kurt's breathing slowed, they got back to sleep.

"I love you, Kurt." Blaine whispered.

"I'm so glad..." Kurt whispered back. "And I love you too... a lot."

*********

Kurt was sitting against the wall in the lunchroom, reading a book. He was enjoying himself seeing as his favorite couple was being flirty in the part he was reading.

"Hey..."

Kurt looked up from his drink to see Karovsky. They were alone. He immediately dropped his drink.

"Wait! Wait! I swear, I didn't mean to tell! Blaine forced it out of me! Pl-" Kurt panicked.

"I'm not gonna hurt you!" Karovsky quickly said.

"Wait... what?"

"I... I'm sorry I ever did."

The gelled boy had heard the glass cup shatter and quickly ran to the source. Kurt saw Blaine fuming out of corner of his eye. He knew Blaine was about to go absolutely bonkers on Karovsky so he quickly gave Blaine a sign to stay where he was.

"I... Sorry for scaring you. I... heard about what happened here. Since you moved. I never wanted to make you feel like that..."

Kurt watched as Karovsky explain his actions. He wasn't just going to forgive him on the spot, but seeing as he had no idea wether it was real or if Karovsky was about to beat the shit out of him, he nodded.

"I-It's cool..."

It wasn't cool.

"Thanks, Kurt! You're the best!"

Blaine's mouth hung open, entirely dumbfounded. Kurt put one finger over his lips to silence him, making Karovsky turn in his direction.

The one and only time Karovsky ever hugged Kurt was now. And it was awkward as hell. Kurt didn't move a muscle. When the ex-bully left, Blaine marched over to Kurt.

"Why didn't I just kill him? Why? What did he do to you? What was the threat, huh? Why are you defending his homophobic ass?"

"He was apologizing."

"Oh, that's rich." Blaine started to follow Karovsky. "Come here, bitch!"

"Blaine!" Kurt called, making him stop. "I think we should just leave him be... see how this goes..."

"I... fine...." Blaine sighed. "I don't understand how nice you are. Have you ever been mean to anyone?"

"Technically..."

"What do you mean 'technically?'"

"Well... when I was 12 I yelled at my mother... I was so upset and hurt. I said some nasty things. I apologize for it every time I visit her..." Kurt whispered. "I was so devastated that she leave me so early. I didn't think I was ready and I just hated her for going away. Not that it was really her choice."

Blaine slid down beside Kurt. "How did she... you know...?"

"Cancer..." Kurt whispered. "I didn't think I'd miss her until she was gone."

"You okay, babe?"

Kurt nodded. "Yes... Can we go back to the dorm and... um... you can just..." He paused. "Um... hold me... just maybe..."

Blaine laughed adorably. "Of course, Kurtie."

Kurt blushed following close behind the gelled boy.
