Wondering Alone

The Big Day

       It's Today, the day I move out and take one more step to my perfect future. I am zipping up my last suitcase and throwing it into my car, when out comes my mom crying. " Mom You did this yesterday!" I say. "I know but you won't be back till Christmas" she said, sobbing. I thought to myself what would happen if I stayed at college over Christmas break just to tick her off. I would probably have a gravestone that read "Here lies Abigail Thompson beloved daughter who never came home for Christmas of her junior year". I snapped back into reality and said, "Mom, I love you, I will call you when I get there". "Bye Baby" she said through another sob. That's that, and I'm on my way to Northwestern.

I live in the small town of Jackson, Wisconsin, which is exactly 1 hour and 59 minutes away from Northwestern university. This means I could make exactly 2 stops if I wanted to get there on time, and would need to get gas once and food probably twice. As I am driving down the interstate when it hit me, a new idea for an article. It would be the Hectic life of Adam White, because any journalist would start off with an article about a pop-stars life. I don't hate Adam White, but he is annoying as crap when you hear about him everywhere. Girls talk about him at the gym, at the pool, at the coffee shop. They just need to get a life!

I pull over at the chevron to fill up the tank and get a snack. As my car is filling up, I find some M&Ms, a bag of Doritos, and a Pepsi for my drive down. As I walk up to the register and put my stuff down I notice the gum and put one o the counter. " $11.67" says the clerk. I pull out my wallet and pay, and as I turn to leave I knock into a guy with a black hoodie on over his head and sunglasses. My thought process was who where's a black hoodie up and sunglasses in 80 degree weather? We both fall to the ground and his sunglasses are thrown off and his hood mostly comes off. As he helps me up I gasp, It's Adam White Helping me up.
