Witch - an entity with cruel behavior, who has the ability to control illusions and dark magic. That was the definition Vision was given, but when he met Scarlet Witch why was she the exact opposite.
Vision ordered me to stay in bed so that my ankle would heal. I didn't mind, but it was quite boring be stuck in my room.
I tried to open the TV, see what was on the news but for some reason every time I flipped through the channels, the only thing that came up were cartoons and crappy Avenger movies. I found it to be a bit strange to not find the news channel, so I asked Vision.
"Hey Vis," I said, coming out of my room while he was cooking again.
"You should be in bed Wanda." he says with a voice filled with care, but his back turned towards me.
"I'm fine, but.. uh... do you know what happened to the news channels?" I asked, playing with the flimsy remote.
Vision stops chopping whatever it was he was cutting up. "That's quite odd, why don't you just watch something else?" he says then goes back to chopping.
"Uh... ok?" I was about to turn to go back to my room until I saw how deserted the building was. I wondered where the rest of the members were seeing as they never visited me in my room. Were they not here the whole time?
I frown, "Vis, where's Nat?" he turns back to me. "And Sam, Rhodes and Steve?" I looked at him in question, like a little kid asking where their mom was.
He wipes his hand with a towel and puts it back down on the table. "They're... on a mission."
"A mission?" I found that answer odd, "Why didn't anybody tell me?"
He walks away from the kitchen, "You were healing Wanda no one wanted to disturb you." Vision says walking towards me.
"But..." I look down at the ground, but Natasha would always tell me if she was leaving. If something was wrong. Not only that she would check up on me if I was hurt. "What mission was it?" I said looking up at him, now he was in front of me.
Vision scoops me up, making me gasp from the sudden gesture. "You shouldn't worry about such a thing, just focus getting better." he says his words coming out clearly, while my words are held back as well as my breath. I was still in shock that I was in his arms.
It's so warm, I thought to myself. Vision opens the door walking up to my bed and setting me down in the lightest way possible. He slips his hands away from me and I finally have the courage to look at him. "I'll finish up with dinner, just wait for a moment." Vis says.
I knew I was going to say something stupid if I opened my mouth so I simply nodded very slowly. Vision smiles and phases through my door leaving me alone.
What the fuck. My mind was processing that gesture, with a million thoughts circulating through my head. Wowowowow.
But when I looked back at this moment, I didn't realize his romantic gestures only served to distract me from what was happening in the real world.
In a couple of days, my ankle finally healed up I was able to leave my room. It wasn't a huge improvement from my last situation. I was still stuck on the same floor, and I always had to be watched over by Vision. Though I was glad that he was with me, I found it suspicious that no one else was here. It was only me and Vis.
Every time I tried to make any attempt to go outside, Vision would appear in front of the door advising me to do something else. It was like a dad grounding his daughter. My ankle was better so I didn't understand why he wanted me to stay inside.
I wanted to get mad at him, but he was there when I needed anything, so I felt bad for being angry at someone who was so helpful to me.
There were other reasons for me not being mad at him. But I decided to keep my feelings away from it as much as possible. I already rejected him, he wouldn't take me back.
But what the hell was he doing tempting me with those romantic gestures. I blushed furiously, sighing at my hopeless situation.
However, a familiar smell reached my nose, I sat up from the couch, and towards the kitchen.
I walk into the kitchen seeing Vision looking confusingly at the paper he was holding.
"Paprikash?" I asked, looking at the organized seasoning and the boiling pot.
He puts the paper down and turns his attention onto me, "I thought it would help lift your spirits."
I looked into the pot that boiled red, taking the spoon and sipping the warm soup.
Salty... very salty...
I looked over to him who was watching with anticipation for my reaction. "Spirits lifted!" I say in a cheerful voice that I muster up. "But I think it needs more sugar. I'll get it from the store, be right back!"
Vision rushes to block me, "We could order.. a pizza?"
I clench my jaw, he's blocking me again. "Vision, why won't you let me leave..."My tone differing from the tone I used just a few seconds ago.
Vision bites his lip, for the first time hesitating in his words. "It's.. a question of safety..." he doesn't meet my eyes. So I only ignore his words.
"I'll be fine on my own," I said trying to push past him.
Vis puts his arm out blocking me, his hand gently holding onto my arm. "Not your's, Mr. Stark wanted to avoid a possibility of another incident. Until the accords are signed." he says with his tense voice.
The Accords.... Was this why he kept me in for so long. "And what do you want?" I asked him.
The world to be at peace?
The Avengers to be controlled?
Me?
Or is it just for me to be controlled?
Vision looks at me, my question cracking his cold mask as he warmly says, "For people to see you as I do."
I don't know what it was in me, maybe it was because I was angry. But the words came out, "And I wonder what you see me as." My powers moving his hand away from my arm letting me march back to my room.
