Tom’s POV

“I thought you wanted sex last night.” I smile as Anne begins to wake up.

“You can wipe that cocky grin of your face, you didn’t get any either.” I laugh as I  kiss her lightly on the lips.

“You going to admit I was right yet?” I mumble against her, not wanting to pull back too far from the kiss.

“Nope, never.” She whispers, and I can feel her smile against my lips. I quickly roll so that I’m lying on top of her, grabbing her wrists I pin them above her head.

“Now?” I ask again raising one eyebrow. She shakes her head at me, still smiling. “Okay you asked for it.” I smirk before moving her arms so I’m holding them both in one hand before beginning to tickle her.

“Stop!” She squeals which obviously just makes me tickle her harder. “Okay, okay!” She gasps in between laughing.

“Okay, what?” I ask, pausing slightly to let her get a sentence out.

“Okay, you were right.” She pants, clearly still trying to catch her breath, so I roll to the side pulling her up with me.

“I knew you’d surrender.” I laugh, tucking a lose strand of hair behind her ear.

“You’re just a big bully.” She replies still out of breath, surely she should be fine by now? I wonder begining to panic.

“Shit. I’m sorry Anne.” Her health has really been going down hill so fast lately; it’s hard to know what’s too far.

“Don’t be silly, I’ll be fine in a minuet.” She says pulling me into a hug, but it does nothing to make me feel better. I shouldn’t be tiring her out like this; it’s not good for her. Parker you are an idiot! I think angrily to myself.

Sophie’s POV

“Hey baby girl.” Nathan smiles as I wake in his arms.

“Morning.” I smile contently. This is always my favourite time of day. Just me and him and not a care in the world.

“How do you think we’re going to sort tonight out?” He suddenly asks, and okay scrap that last part.

“We’re going to have to lie to them.” I sigh, hating the thought of it.

“Relax.” Nath whispers while gently stroking my hair. “Jay’s still set on this stupid dinner so we’re going to have to get them there some how.”

“We’re going to have to tell each couple that the others aren’t coming and hope they don’t realise until it’s too late.” I say, frowning, not sure how that’s actually going to work when they’ll all be leaving from the same house...

“It’s our best shot.”  He says before crashing his lips to mine and making me instantly forget everything except the feel of his body against mine.

Charly’s POV

I wake up still in Max’s arms and sigh happily before the events of last night start making there way back into my mind. He still wants Anne. So why am I still lying here in his arms? I’m a push over, I’m letting him walk all over me and I’m more than aware of that, but I just can’t stop. Never mind crazy in love, I’m stupid in love.

Roxie’s pov

“Just let me do all the talking, okay.” I laugh while slapping Siva playfully on the chest. He never has been any good at lying, it’s one of the reasons I fell in love with him.

“I can agree to that.” He smiles down at me, before taking my hand and leading me to the living room where Anne and Tom are sat watching TV.

“Hey, we were wondering if the two of you wanted to come out for dinner with us all tonight. Obviously minus Charly and Max. We want to make things less awkward between us all, and hopefully doing something for old times sake would be the best way of putting the past behind us.” I say while giving them my best fake genuine smile.

“That’s a great idea.” Tom starts and I can hear a but coming. Maybe this wasn’t going to be as easy as I thought it would be. “But...” I knew it. “Anne’s really tired at the moment; I don’t think it’s the best idea.

“Don’t listen to him.” Anne says, looking at me in a way which says she’s glad I’m making the effort. I can feel my hopes rising again.  “He can’t keep me cooped up in here all the time I need to get out. We’ll come, thank you.” She smiles, and this time my returning smile is genuine.

“Sorry Tom, looks like you’re outnumbered.” I say to him.

“Fine.” He sighs, clearly still worried about Anne. “But we won’t stay out long.” He says looking directly at her now, and she reluctantly nods. Wow. This isn’t like the two of them, she must get tired easily if the Tom doesn’t want to stay out late and she’s going to give in that easily.  Hopefully the stress that tonight is almost certain to bring wont be too much for her.

Jess’ pov

“Right. Because this is your idea, and I’m convinced it’s going to be a disaster, you can go and convince Max and Charly, on your own.” I say to Jay, sticking my tongue out at him while pushing him out of bed and towards the door.

“Aright, alright.” He laughs while grabbing his trousers off the floor and pulling them on before heading out onto landing. I quickly grab his T-shirt and throw it on before quietly following him. I might be making him convince them on his own so I can’t be partly blamed when it all goes wrong but that doesn’t mean I’m not nosy and don’t want to hear what’s beining said. I lean against the doorframe and listen closely.

“The two of you must want to be able to get out of the house, I don’t fancy being stuck in here all night it’s uncomfortable for us all.”Jay continues, I've clearly missed the start of the conversation.

“I think it’s a great idea.” Charly replies. “Isn’t it Max.” She adds a little reluctantly, and my hopes plummet further. Maybe the two of them aren’t back to normal yet, and that will just add more strain onto tonight’s already doomed dinner.

“Yeah it does.” He eventually sighs. “We’ll be there.”

“Great!” Jay says, clearly unaware of the awkwardness in front of him.

“Crap.” I whisper, as I hear Jay begin walking back towards the door, and I quickly turn and run back into the bedroom, jumping onto the bed and grabbing my book of the bedside table, opening it to a random page and pretending to read it.

“You do realise that book’s upside down.” Jay smirks at me while sitting onto the bed and pulling me onto his lap.

“Umm...” I mumble trying to think of an excuse and failing.

“So did you like what you heard?” He asks, laughing at me.

“Yeah I did.” I blush, embarrassed at being caught.

“See, you should have more faith in me.” He smiles. “I told you they would all say yes.

“Yes you did.” I say before pulling him down for a kiss, not wanting to voice my true concerns about tonight.
