Prologue

"It's too early," I moaned, bringing the blankets up over my face.

"Nonsense!" Mom pulled the blankets away. "After three months, school should be a relief."

I rolled over. "Well, it's not."

Fifteen minutes later I was running out the door. "Goodbye, Alice! Have a good first day!"

"Good would not be the word I would use," I mumbled, unlocking my car door.

Junior year- just what everyone looks forward to, right? Wrong, you lose. I was dreading this year. The rumors about my teachers were so deadly I would much rather jump in a pit of snakes than go to school.

As I tapped my fingers on the steering wheel to match the rhythm of the song blaring from my stereos, I wondered about Adrian, my recent crush. I hadn't seen him all summer. I bet he'd look cute with a tan. Not that he wasn't smoking hot already.

I pulled up in the parking lot and slammed my car door shut. My car was a piece of shit, so you had to apply a decent amount of force for the door to even move.

As I pivoted to make the death walk into school, a group of boys passed me, laughing about whatever it is boys laugh at. As I glared at them, one of them turned. Our eyes met, and my gaze softened as I oh-so-discreetly checked him out. He was tall enough to tower over most girls, but not so tall that it would be uncomfortable to hug (or whatever) him. His straight black hair hung over his eyes, and the amused smirk that graced his lips was directed at me. My heart fluttered, and I averted my gaze, returning to my usual glare.

He was the literal definition of tall, dark, and handsome. I would bang him any night.

Sorry, did I ruin the moment?

Moments after I had entered the school, Vicki dashed over to me, clutching my arm. I don't know what it was about that girl, but she could've spotted me in an avalanche if she wanted to. "There's so many guys!" she wailed.

I raised an eyebrow. "This is new to you?"

"Do you think I've had any action over the summer, Alice?"

I snorted. "Please. As if I have, and I'm not having orgasms all over the place."

She pouted. "I am not having orgasms! I'm simply enjoying the moment."

"All I heard was orgasm." Matthew joined us, the same bemused expression on his face as always.

"You're such a boy," I moaned.

"Are you sure?" he asked sarcastically.

"Shut up."

The bell rang, and I waved. "Micky D's for lunch, okay?"

They nodded as we parted ways.

I stepped into my history class just down the hall. This won't be so bad, I tried to tell myself. I'll sit in the back and not a soul will know who I am.

There was a commotion at the door. A group of guys chest bumping and high five-ing as their native way of saying 'see you later, man.' I rolled my eyes. This was the reason I lived under the motto of "look, don't touch." All males acted the same. I couldn't help it if they were pleasing to look at.

And that's when I saw him. Tall Dark & Handsome stepped in, glanced around the room, then headed back near me.

That motto may have to change.

N/A: I had to. I totally had to. You can't blame me, right? The concept is too fun to play around with. So let's have another guy. Competition. ;) Who should he be, and what should he be like??

YOU DECIDE.

Have as much fun with it as you want. :3
