Overcoming Sadness

PROLOGUE:

Laurel woke up with sarrow in her eyes and tears running down her face.  She could not believe he was gone, the love of her life, just gone.  Traumatized by the terror, of living life without him by her side.  Laurel's  whole world came crashing down with the words " I am so sorry!"  But her baby girl needs her, and she needs to be there for her now even more.

CHAPTER 1:

Laurel typed her name on the dating website, her best friend Sydney told her about.  Thats when suddenly the doorbell rang.  Sydney ran into the house saying "Burrr, its cold outside!"  Laurel asked "What are you doing here?" " I am coming to check on you, I mean you didnt look all the happy today." Sydney said.  Laurel stated that she was not happy today because they went to lunch and she saw alot of couples and she was the only one there with no one to love.  " I sit in the house all the time alone and I dont have anyone." Laurel said sadly. "You have me! Hahaha!" her friend said to her.  " You know what I mean. I need someone to love, someone to hold me at night, someone to love me too." "You dont understand because you have Michael, he is perfect" Laurel said.  Sydney told her to stop whining because once people see your account guys will be piling up.. Promise!" Sydney walked out of the house happily.  Laurel sat down on the couch with her laptop on her lap, typing up the rest of her dating account.  Once her account was done she went to bed.  

The following morning she woke up to check her inbox.  "Yes!!" she screamed.  There were 14 messages.  One from this man named Frank Colgen, it said " Hi Laurel, my name is Frank and I was wondering if maybe you would go on a date with me Friday night at 7?"  This one unique one was from some guy named Lukas Gohns.  The email said " Hello Laurel! Wow what a beautiful name you have." She began to blush. " I read your profile and I found it interesting that you are interested in eating odd foods because I do, so if you are interested, would you like to go to dinner with me on Thursday night at the Egyptian Gulden at 7:30 P.M?"  Laurel jumped up and down in excitement. "Im going on a date, Im going on a date!!"
