Boy watered the plant a little more from the cup he had the day before, The Male in the back of the room playing with Girl shivered and chuckled.
"What happened?" He asked, turning around.
"I watered you, Or something like that."
The Male nodded and continued playing with Girl.
Boy sat on his bed watching the two talk in different tones of voices and move their dolls in different directions.
He closed his eyes and listened to their conversation. The stairs started to creak and the floorboards moved out of place. The door swung open and Malinda peaked in.
"What are you two doing?" She asked, looking at Girl.
Malinda looked confused, Boy was panicking and Girl was just looking at the Male and back at her.
"Who are you talking to?"
"You.. Don't see him?" She looked at the Male sitting across her.
"Girl. If I have to pay to take you to a doctor to get your eyes checked or even your brain. I'm not going to be happy." Malinda slammed the door and walked back down the stairs, Loudly enough for Boy and Girl to tell she was mad.
"They didn't see you.." Girl said quietly, looking at the Male.
"I told you, Why didn't you believe me?" the Male smiled.
The sunlight was basically gone and it was getting dark, the Male stuck around until it was late,
"How long are you planning on staying?" Boy asked, looking at the Male still on the floor messing with Girl's dolls.
"I don't know. I'll leave when you least expect it." He said with a grin.
Boy rolled his eyes and looked back at the plant, Calmly standing high with a glow a lot more visible than last time.
"Good night.." Boy called out, He looked back at the spot the Male was sitting at but he was gone. He turned his attention to the flower and there was no more glow.
Not even a spark of light.
Just darkness And the glimmering shine of the moon shone into the silent bedroom. Leaving Boy clueless of what happened.
'Where did he go?'
The next morning finally came, Boy hadn't slept all night. He was thinking of how the Male could have gotten here and if the flower is some kind of Magic Flower.
But he shook his head because he knew there was no such thing in Magical Flowers.
So perhaps a dream, But everything seemed so real. Even Girl was there.
He rubbed his eyes and looked at the sprout again. Nothing new, It looked about the same except it was greener.
"Where is he?" Girl asked, looking around the room.
"Where is who?"
"That little boy we met yesterday."
Boy stared at Girl in confusion. It wasn't a dream. Girl doesn't forget the important things.
"I don't know, He left a bit after you fell asleep." Boy looked around the room to spot the Male out. But found nothing.
"Maybe he's in the attic!" Girl raced to her feet and ran out the door.
Boy looked at the flower. No shimmer again. He sighed and pulled the covers off of him bracing the cold drift from the wind.
He went back down the stairs and went to the kitchen to fill up the cup again.
Boy held the cup under the faucet and ran some water. He watched the water fall in and out of the cup.
"Why are you wasting water?" Malinda asked, staring at him.
"Filling a cup up with more water." Boy turned off the water and walked past her,
"Walker won't be happy if he finds out you wasted half of the water."
He rolled his eyes and continued up the stairs. He entered his room and went over to his plant. Girl wasn't there. He poured some water into the vase and watched it closely.
"Want to play with me?" A voice said from the back of the room.
Boy turned around to be alarmed by the Male he meant yesterday.
"You are real." Boy said in amazement. The Male nodded and ran over to Boy, he wrapped his hands around Boys' waist. Boy patted his head and laughed.
"Thanks for watering me, But I came here to warn you." The Male released his grip from Boy and stepped back looking up at him.
"Warn me? About what?"
The Male shrugged and looked at the door frame.
"Oh, you found him!" Girl said,
"Were you hiding him from me?" She looked at Boy.
"No. He appeared again."
The Male waved and walked over to Girl and hugged her, Of course, Girl hugged back with a gentle smile.
"I came here to warn you," He spoke again.
"Warn us?" Girl looked at the Male and back at Boy.
"About what?"
The room went quiet. No one was speaking. Then a scream, Girl's eyes widened.
"That's Mother!" She ran down the stairs and went to where the scream was coming from. Boy looked at the Male.
"What happened?" Boy asked frantically.
"Something about Walker, And the lawnmower." The Male followed Girl's footsteps and ran down the stairs.
Boy finally decided to move and he followed as well, As they came closer to the garage the screams and cries were getting louder.
Finally when they both rounded the corner. Boy saw nothing but red.
Red splattered everywhere. The room had a foul smell. Almost like something was decaying.
He walked up to Girl that was far away from the paint, Her hands were covering her mouth.
"What happened?" Boy asked.
"Father," She choked out.
"Was he trying to paint the garage red?" Boy looked back at the garage and then at the Male.
"Painting with his blood." Girl looked at him. She was pale, she looked as if she was going to puke.
"How did he.. Die?" Boy looked at the Male.
"He was fixing something underneath, And I guess something went wrong. They blade underneath grinded him up and left nothing left." the Male stared at the sobbing woman.
Boy heard sirens off in the distance and gulped. Girl tugged on his shirt,
"What are we going to do now with Father gone?"
"Walker? I don't know. He was good. But.. I feel like Malinda would be harder on us."
"Why does one of you call him Walker and the other call him Father?" the Male looked at them.
Boy stared at the bloodbath in the garage and heard policemen shout.
"It doesn't matter anymore. He's.. Gone."
