"Stop faking."These are all things people with depression, anxiety, mental disorders have been told before. It doesn't matter that we're people too, it doesn't matter that this isn't a joke. We have to be faking because it's not possible to be less then perfect. It's not possible to not be ok. Every day people are dying over things that are commonly considered fake or all an act or just wanting attention. What people fail to understand is that you don't need to be in a bad situation, you don't need a reason to be depressed. Depression is a mental disability that can attack your will to live, your energy, and your mind. Just because someone has it good, plenty of money, good family, popular, etcetera, doesn't mean they can't be depressed. And then there's anxiety. Just don't worry about it, right? We don't want to worry about it! It isn't something we have power over! Imagine, just imagine. The worst possible sense of dread, crawling under your skin like spreading frost until it suffocates you. You can't stop it, can't get it away, why won't it go away, it won't leave, what's wrong with me? Multiple personality disorder, MPD. You just want to act different. We really don't. And that isn't something we can always control either, it isn't our fault. But no, all of these things are fake, because we can't possibly be less than perfect. We can't possibly fall out of what is considered normal, when everyone already knows it's an act anyways so what's the point of trying? When it comes to all these things, it seems like there isn't. There isn't a point because these problems, these issues, they don't exist. We have no proof. But we do. Depression causes lack of energy and physical exhaustion, as does anxiety which can also cause paralyzation as well as twitching muscles and panic attacks. Panic attacks can cause more physical exhaustion and paranoia, which can in turn show negative health affects. So keep believing that it isn't real, keep believing that these conditions and issues are nonexistent. Go ahead and accuse dead people of doing it for attention. Go ahead, and leave these illnesses untreated and unaccounted for until eventually you learn. When you do learn, maybe you'll help fix us, maybe you can be the one to solve someone's issues. Until then, the least you can do is stop being a negative influence on our lives and leave us alone to hopefully get better. Because despite everything, we do still try our hardest to be there, to be happy, to stay positive. I'm sorry. Because sometimes it just isn't enough to stop us from leaving. So maybe you can help. Work with us; save a life. A simple breakdown of the mind is that we all think differently. I can't make you agree with me, but I'm not going to keep quiet on something so important. Because people are dying. Inside and out. So call it fake, but maybe just think about it a bit before you do.
