"So I'm at the mall the other day, and I find like the perfect dress for tomorrow night. And guess what? THEY DON'T HAVE MY FREAKING SIZE?!" Rileigh, the most popular girl in school yelled out loud. Of course, I have nothing better to do than eavesdrop on their conversation. What am I supposed to do? It's not like I have friends that care about what color of lip gloss I bought, or what my crush did in class today. I'm more of a lone wolf type of person. Once the bell rung, I slowly inched out of the classroom, hoping nobody would see me.

"Hey Stephanie! Why don't you come and show us those rags you call clothes!" Rileigh yelled. Too late. I walked over to Rileigh and her friends. "What is it?" I asked sarcastically. "OMG Stephanie, we can totally see your bra straps from here!" Rileigh's equally annoying friend Brinn pointed out, with a smirk on her face. My face instantly turned red. "Aww, did we hurt Steph's feelings? Because you hurt our eyes by wearing that sweater. By the way, gray is so, not your color." Brinn asked, mockingly. I turned away and ran off to the bathroom, tears pouring down my face.

The bathroom was empty when I walked in. I went to the sink, my mascara running. I don't even know why I bother with makeup. No one will notice me anyway. I started washing my face with cold water when my phone beeped. It was my dad. "Come home right after school. I have done something you might like." he texted. My dad is famous scientist Fernando Ramirez. And I'm his outcast daughter. "What are the odds." I muttered to myself.
