Chapter 21

(A/N: Hey guys, so, this chapter is gonna be a tad intense, maybe, just a little tad. But I tried hard on it, and hopefully you like it as much as I'd like you all to, now if you remember from the first story, Stefan was shot twice and was lucky to survive, now he's in a similar situation again, 6 years later, with a gun.. can he handle the situation? Read and see, I have a last minute week off work, so I'm hoping that due to lockdown, I'll be able to spend a good amount of time writing this story, and I've very nearly finished another story (one more chapter to write on it), I'm hopefully, I want to make it happen, hopefully it will, and I will be half dreading this time next week as my week off will be finished and I'll be return to hectic work life with the virus, so hopefully this week goes sloowwww.. anyway, enjoy this chapter, and I'll be back next week (apologies for delayed posting, I was finishing another chapter), stay safe, stay home, stay healthy. "WOAH" I say loudly as I put my hands out. He stands in front of the class as he clutches the gun, ready to pull the trigger.

"I tried to do this the easy way" Nathan says.

"Nathan, please, put the gun down" I say as I feel my heart pounding. Deep breaths.

"You caused me to do this, if you'd just let me take Cody out" He says.

"Ok, I'm sorry Nathan, but it's my responsibility to keep everyone in this room safe" I say.

"Keep them safe, huh?" He questions and then points the gun towards the students. "Nobody is safe around here" He says. Clearly, you're waving a gun around. Without a second thought, I jump in front of the gun so that it's millimetres away from my chest, millimetres away from my pounding heart.

"Nathan what is going on? Talk to me" I say.

"If you don't move out of my way, I'll shoot you, and then I'll shoot ANYBODY WHO STANDS IN MY WAY OF CODY!" He shouts.

"You know I can't move out of the way" I say, although I kinda wish I would, but I won't let anyone in the room get hurt. Nathan looks towards the door as he sees a shadow walk past, seemingly oblivious to what is going on in here. He then looks past me, at the students.

"You, go lock the door and barricade it" He instructs someone, I dare not move to see who it is, the gun is against my beating heart. "NOW!" He shouts. I hear the movement and then Danielle gets to the door, I watch as she locks it and struggles to pull a table to barricade it, but she manages it. "Now sit back down, in fact, everybody on the floor" He demands, they don't waste a second in doing as he says. He then looks at me. "I said everybody" He points out. I nod and go down.

"Nathan, this will all end a lot easier if you tell me what is going on" I say, trying to get him to talk.

"Cody, is what's going on" He says, then looks past me. "How can you sleep at night, knowing what you did, I can't and I didn't even do anything" He says, I'm assuming to Cody.

"What has Cody done, Nathan?" I ask.

"Come on Cody, why don't you answer that question, what did you do?" He questions Cody, but there's no response.

"Look, he clearly isn't talking, but I can't help unless I know what's going on" I say, trying to keep myself and the whole situation as calm as possible.

"He is the reason that my sister is dead" He says. I frown in confusion.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Rebecca, my sister, he raped her and now she's dead" He says. Rebecca Kingsley, this is her brother, he's avenging her death.

"I did no such thing" Cody speaks up.
