A Mediocre Love Story

C H A P T E R : 1

~Brokenhearted friend~

Euri's POV

Whenever I see a lady like my friend Aina with lots of suitors, I'm thinking that, oh she's going to have a happy love story!

We met as freshmen Arts and letters. I'm the girl who doesn't care about the world would say of how I should look like, just a plain college girl just wanna finsih school and that's it.

Why do we click? as friends maybe because we are soul mates.

If you could see her Wow how pretty she is! Long hair, Spanish beauty, soft tone voice and definitely a head turner and not like me  almost the opposit of her, yup I'm her friend but I think I too have a certain looks but I don't bother i just wanna hide my face with my glasses like any normal college students and I like it made me look genius and I like it that way.

When I lookt at her  I thought she will have lots of choices from all the suitors lining up while I will always be a friend by her side...

A few days later  in our Psychology 101 class this same beautiful  girl is now rushing towards me and crying?

"EUREY!.." Aina shouted while sobbing and gasping for air to breathe.

"Jake... Left, just left me hanging this sem. I saw him with another girl!"

She's heartbroken...? What?!

That boy whom she fell in love with just left her for a new girl in school?!

What the heck! What happened to this fantasy world I created about her finding her one true love?

I'm  Eurey welcome to My world of never ending quest for  a happy ending love story.

My friend  Aina and I met in college. She always have suitors and yeah many times she's heart broken.

"Hey Aina stop crying please!" I said as I try to calm her down.

"We've been through this before, right?!" I said.

Sobbing, and trying to hold her emotions, looking at me while I gently pat her back and offering her some water to relieve her or she may dehydrate herself.

... Gently lifting her head and look at me.

"Eurey as I want a life like you do, does not have to choose a guy, just making it through the day and continue just what you want to do."
Aina said.

"What?! Aina, you got the perfect package of a good girlfriend. That boy does not deserve you. You'll meet someone better girl! I'm just here as your friend. I know what you've been through and seeing you like that makes me not want to be in any of that relationship stuff! "
I said.

She smiled a bit.

"When you're ready for that love story of yours, I hope I'm still alive! Haha!" Aina said.

"Yeah, I bet so. Better be ready Aina! Yeah, I'll get there just wait girl! Just fixing my lists for that kind of guy I'm looking for. Now you're smiling girl! Let's eat ok?
I said.

We carried our bags. I have a  maroon back pack bag while she carried her lady branded  black leather bag.

We  walked to a nearby cafeteria and had some snacks.

Then  Aina starts wiping her face with her soft branded cotton hanky and looked for a mirror, fixing  herself a bit  and voila!  Look at me...

"Hey Eurey do I look ok now?" She asked.

"Yeah, you always look good. Just smile and we're good to go ok?"
I said.

"Let's try to go to that chapel and pray, that's what I do whenever I feel sad or worried." I suggested.

Aina looked at me imquisituvely

"You know Eurey, that's what I liked about you, you seem to be always cool and serious and at the same time jolly, never thought you are going to church?..." She said.

"Hey, can't you see I look like a guardian angel. Hehe, with thick glasses" I smirked.

"Nah! Just kidding! Let's go!" I said and lead the way.

While at the church, I silently prayed and ask God that  Aina will someday find the right guy for her maybe not to fall in love too soon well we've just turned 17 and there's no need to hurry...

And I prayed that God let me focus on studies and not to fall in love too soon.
