Dragonball Super: Back in Time

Vegeta

Vegeta's eyes opened looking up to a darkened ceiling. He sat up on the bed, grabbing the side of his head from a slight pain. After the pain died down he looked around the room, trying to see where the hell he was at. He assumed he was at Capsule Corp but ruled it out considering that the logo would've been plastered everywhere.

He removed the covers before slowly getting up. He stretched as his body was stiff for some reason. He looked around the room again. 4 bunkers with a poorly lit room with the smell of Saiyan lingering in the room.

"Where the hell am I?" He asked himself before looking down. He didn't have any clothes on other than his underwear. And that's when he noticed his tail; one he lost long ago.

"What the fuck?" He muttered before a knock at the door grabbed his attention. "Who is it?"

"It's me, Prince Vegeta." A familiar voice said. This voice was too familiar. "Can I come in?"

"Not yet," Vegeta answered looking for his stuff to put on. He noticed that this was the stuff he used to wear. He was getting more confused by the minute. He didn't even know what was happening. One minute he had fused with Goku to fight Broly and now he was somewhere with his old tail and armor.

After putting all his clothes on and wrapping his tail around his waist Vegeta walked out, being greeted by someone who should be dead. Nappa.

'This has to mean time travel. Did that boy do something?' Vegeta thought, looking around as he followed Nappa somewhere. He figured he was on Frieza's ship.

"Hey, Vegeta," Nappa called out, pulling Vegeta out of his thoughts. "You ok? You look a little disoriented."

"I'm fine. Where are we going?" He asked, turning to Nappa.

"Don't you remember? We have to finish the planet manor off. That was the deadline Frieza gave us." Nappa sneered the last part. Vegeta vaguely recalled the planet but it was the last one he did before going and fighting Kakarot.

"Screw that. We're heading straight to Earth." Vegeta stated, walking ahead of Nappa.

"But Frieza-" Nappa started before stopping as Vegeta held up his hand, energy ready to release.

"If you want to come, come but if you want to stay then die. Your choice." Vegeta stated.

Nappa gulped. "I'll come with you."

Vegeta lowered his hand, removing the energy from it. "Then let's go."

Vegeta walked to where the space pods were at, ignoring everything else. Walking up to a space pod he quickened his pace as one of the personnel had gotten in the way.

"These space pods haven't been authorized for use." He stated but Vegeta just ignored him, walking past him not even looking at him.

He got into a pod with Nappa getting in another before Vegeta quickly disappeared and pressing the button that would launch them. He then teleported back in his seat, as the pod closed he sat in thought.

'I'll have to see if Kakarot came with me or not. W-wait shouldn't Broly have come too then?' He thought before scowling and glaring at the machines in front of him. He would save these thoughts for another time. That then made him wonder if he still was as strong as he was in the future.

He decided to transform into his Super Saiyan Blue form knowing that no one but Whis and Kakarot would be able to feel his power. And so he did with blue energy flowing everywhere but there was a problem Vegeta noted before the blue form gave out on its own. 'It must be that my body isn't used to that level of power quite yet. Hm, well, no matter. It won't be like I'll need it for the time being. I'll just stick to normal Super Saiyan.'

As he went his scouter received a call from Radditz. He opted to ignore it but knew that it could be Kakarot. So he decided to answer. "Hello."

"Vegeta! Are you from my time!" Goku exclaimed from the scouter, making his voice seem more robotic-like.

"Kakarot you're here too, huh," Vegeta said back.

"Vegeta what happened?" Goku asked.

"I don't know. All I do know is that we're back in time somehow but, the question is how?" Vegeta asked as they both went into a momentary silence, thinking about what happened. "Do you think it has something to do with Broly?" Vegeta asked after a couple of seconds.

"Well, he was the last one we were fighting but we can't take out that an outside force could've done it," Goku answered.

Vegeta nodded his head. "You're right but that brings us to another question. "How did we defuse."

"I don't even know. It didn't feel like we defused but we are." Goku sighed. "Well, let's just stick to the task at hand: getting back to our time."

Vegeta shook his head signaling a no. "We can't do that Kakarot."

"Huh? Why not?" Goku asked in confusion.

"Can't you tell idiot. We're in our old bodies. They're part of this timeline, we can't just leave." Vegeta answered.

"But what about our original timeline?" Goku asked.

"I don't know about that but, our bodies belong to this timeline. We only have our mind and powers, that's all we have from our time." Vegeta explained. This was giving him a headache. He had to be the brains of the operation, leaving anything to Goku would be just like letting a child play with fire.

"Then, what's our next move?" Goku asked.

Vegeta sighed, thinking about what they could do. He figured they only had one option. "We'll have to stay here and go through the timeline in chronological succession without giving ourselves up." Vegeta waited for Goku to say anything but he didn't and Vegeta knew the call was still on. "Kakarot?"

"Huh, oh sorry," he said with a chuckle. Vegeta could visualize the Saiyan rubbing the back of his head. "I was trying to think what chronolidical succession meant but I couldn't think of anything."

"God, your an idiot," Vegeta quipped almost smacking himself in the head. "It means going in order through the timeline as to not cause it to be unpredictable."

"Oh, I got you Vegeta. Then let's do it. See you when you get here byeee." Goku said before the transmission turned off, ending their conversation. Vegeta said nothing as he continued to move towards the planet. He hoped he could keep his sanity around the other Saiyan.
