Louis sighed, getting very bored. The whole band had been sat in the stuffy office room for at least an hour now, and all of them were growing restless, and the monotonous voice of management droning on and on wasn't helping their boredom. Louis began picking at a lose piece of fabric hanging from the hem of his striped t-shirt, fascinated by its unravelling. Then again, after sitting in a chair for an hour without moving, watching paint dry becomes interesting.
"Okay boys, I think that's it." The head of management said, five relieved sighs following. The boys stood up on dead legs, and slowly made their way out of the room. Just as Louis was about to leave, of course something had to stop him.
"Except for you Louis, I want you to stay back." Louis cursed under his breath and turned back around to face his boss. The boys lingered in the doorway, waiting for the last member of their band to exit so they could escape.
"Go on boys, I'll only be here a minute." Louis said sadly, giving them a half smile.
"Love you Hazza" He said softly, before Harry whispered a quick I love you back and the boys turned and headed down the snaking corridors, eager to taste fresh air. Louis turned back around, staring at his manager.
"You wanted to speak to me?" He asked sassily, unable to help himself. The manager glared at Louis, making him feel uncomfortable and a little less confident.
"About quite a few things, actually." The manager replied, not dropping his glare. Louis shuffled around awkwardly, standing in the middle of the room and trying to ignore the eyes on him. He had a pretty good idea what this would be about, he really didn't want to hear those dreaded words...
"You and Eleanor aren't convincing enough." He snapped, crossing his arms. Louis sighed and ran a hand through his tousled hair, trying to think of a response.
"Well, what do you expect me to do? I don't love her, or even like her really, I love Harry and he loves me! Why can't we just come out?" Louis said in response, desperation in his voice. He was so sick of hiding his relationship with Harry, it was so hard, and having a beard wasn't making it any easier.
"Well you're going to have to put the drama queen in you to use and try to like Eleanor! And you know full well why you can't come out." He replied, making Louis feel even angrier. Although, he did know why they couldn't come out and it was a fairly important point. It wouldn't be fair on the boys if their sales decreased because of their relationship, Louis knew that.
"Can I at least get rid of Eleanor?" Louis begged, wishing like hell that she would be out of the picture.
"Absolutely not! You act like a big enough fag with Eleanor, nobody wants to know how bad you'll be without her!" He said with a sneer, shocking Louis into temporary silence.
"W-What? You can't say that!" He cried, tears springing to his eyes just from the harsh words.
"Listen pretty boy, I can say whatever I like, I'm your boss!" The manager yelled, making Louis flinch. Louis knew that this wasn't right, but it wasn't like he could do anything.
"Is that all?" Louis asked, accidentaly making it sound sassier than he intended. At the remark, the boss stood up and made his way over to Louis, holding his arm in a death squeeze.
"I don't like your tone, Tomlinson." He stated, his voice dangerously calm. Louis shrunk back slightly under his bold stature, Lou was only 5'6" and the boss had to be at least 6 feet tall.
"S-Sorry sir." Louis whispered, wincing as the bosses grip on his wrist got painfully tight. He hoped that this would just stop and that they could forget about this. But, of course nothing was going his way today.
