"Are you okay?" I asked, looking at the very dazed Yuki doze off in the seat next to me. The professor had yet to notice that his student had taken no interest in his teachings, but he certainly could at any moment and the consequences would be dire.

"YUKI!" I whispered as loudly as I could in a commanding tone, hoping not to be caught talking by the teacher. Yuki jolted up and fixed her posture so that she looked more alert and ready to learn.

"Where's Zero?" I asked, hoping to engage her mind so that she would not be tempted to fall asleep.

"I'm not sure, Kaori. He's been up all night patrolling, he must be asleep".

"You were up all night again too, weren't you? I'll take notes for you if you'd like to leave."

Yuki looked up and smiled. "Thank you so much Kaori, I owe you!"

I chuckled. "Anytime."

Yuki snuck out of the back door very quickly and headed back to the dorms to take a rest. I moved into Yuki's seat so that I could better see the front of the classroom and hear the professor. The professor continued to speak about the assignment that we had been given while students zipped up their backpacks and put their belongings away. I looked again at Zero's unoccupied seat. A figure rushed past the door just out of my view as my head turned to observe the seat. It seemed that the figure had been stationary until I looked around but moved once I had a chance to notice him/her. But who was that, and why were they not wanting to be seen?

I stood to exit at the close of the class session and walked over to the door where I had seen the figure. I carefully opened the door and looked around the corner as students filed out. There was no one.

I was surprised to find that Yuki was not in her bed, but instead, was in mine. From the looks of the situation, she had made it home and showered but passed out from exhaustion on my bed in delirium. I smiled and left the notes for the assignment on her desk. She was not on duty tonight so there would be no real reason to wake her up.

I let the water run for a while before stepping into the shower. I could still smell the lavender scented soap and shampoo that Yuki had used when she had showered. The hot water hit my skin like a waterfall; I closed my eyes to enjoy it. I reached up for my rose scented body wash and poured a good amount onto my towel before beginning my shower ritual. As the soap made contact with the water a familiar scent filled the air: lavender. I opened my eyes and was assured that I had made a mistake in my selection of body washes when my eyes were closed. This desire for affirmation allowed a small amount of soap to make its way into my eyes causing them to burn immediately. I clenched my teeth and rinsed my eyes with water as I rinsed off the soap. I wrapped myself in my dry towel and quickly made my way into the bedroom. I dressed in a large t-shirt and shorts before covering Yuki all the way to the top of her turned head. I leaped in Yuki's bed and covered myself all the way up and rested my burning eyes until I had fallen asleep.

My slumber was interrupted by a very cold breeze and the sound of a closing door. It was very dark, and my eyes had yet to gain focus, but the dominating presence of the room could be felt through my covers. I was in the Moon dorms. But why? And who had brought me? This was bad. I needed to leave, ASAP.

I kept my eyes closed, hoping that whomever was in the room with me would remain unaware that I was actually awake. A conversation continued:

"Aido, drop her."

I recognized the stern voice as Zero's. In a strange way I felt safer knowing that Zero was around. I continued my charade as Aido replied.

"Oh Zero, aren't you supposed to be off duty tonight too? I was just taking a stroll and..."
