Chapter 21: The Final Battle Part 1

Jocelyn POV

"Gear up." Yuri's dad said.

We were in the armory and we looked in amazement at all the weapons lined up along the shelves and racks.

I picked up a halberd and inspected it.

"Do you have any guns?" Nowead asked.

"Yes. They should be over there." Yuri's dad said pointing.

"Hmmmmm......I pick these two." I said.

"Which ones?" Erica asked.

"These." I said holding up two short swords.

"Shouldn't you...you know...get bigger weapons?" Erica asked.

"I can make my own. These two are for backup and....something else." I said.

"Okayyyyyy." Erica said.

I saw Myr pick up a shield with a halberd and a morningstar. Nowead picked up some sort of rifle along with an axe. Yuri simply picked up a buckler while Erica picked up some bow and arrows. Will simply picked up a longsword.

"Let's go rescue our family." I said. "They may think they can beat us because our numbers are down now but we'll show them that we're still strong as a few and that they they should never have messed with us."

Everyone looked at me and then suddenly started smiling.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Alright leader." Yuri's dad said smiling. "What's our plan of attack."

I was taken aback.

Leader? Me? I thought.

"Wait, why am I the leader?" I asked.

"Because that's who you are." Nowead said.

"You're the best one to lead here...well exccept me of course." Will said earning him a glare from Erica and Yuri.

I looked at everyone. 

"Alright.....here's the plan." I said.

40 minutes later

I arrived at the doors of a warehouse.

I took a deep breath.

Nowead took my hand and squeezed it reassuringly.

Normally, I would have punched him for doing something like this but I needed the support.

I opened the doors and stepped inside.

"Just in time!" Necard called sitting on a chair a few yards away from us. "I was beginnning to think you weren't coming."

"Where are they?" I asked glaring at him.

"First, wouldn't you like to meet the rougarou that has been tormenting you?" He asked.

"I want to see my family first." I said.

"Let her see them." A voice called out from somewhere above them.

"Tch. Fine. Come out!!" He said.

We saw a light turn on and I saw my family tied up and gagged.

"Guys!" I said about to run toward them.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Necard said.

I saw a lamp lowered down above them.

"Th-that's a-" I said before Necard finished my sentence.

"A UV ray lamp. A highly concentrated one to be honest that can almost perfectly replicate the rays of the sun." Necard said smirking. "Get too close to them and they'll be toast. They're sun-protection has also been removed so...."
