Chapter 1

ANNABETH

ANNABETH AND PIPER had been planning the Christmas party for weeks.

The day was finally here, December 17, all of their closest friends would be coming.

Annabeth glanced over the list one more time, just to make sure everything was perfect.

"Piper? You sure a cookie baking contest is the best idea? Most of us aren't to great when it comes to baking......" she called out to her friend.

"Oh relax Annabeth! It would be no fun if we all where! " Piper called from across the room, where she was finishing with the decorations.

"Yeah, but what if we like, burn the apartment down?" The party was at Percy's moms apartment, Sally had eminently agreed to letting the two girls use it. Annabeth still wasn't sure why she was so quick to letting ten demigods use her house for a Christmas party.

Annabeth heard Piper laugh slightly, "Annabeth, we aren't gonna burn down Sally's house."

"Ok, so you have complete faith that nothing will go wrong?"

Piper hesitated for a second before answering, "yes."

"Piper-" Annabeth started, but she was cutt off.

"Nothing will go wrong Annabeth." She could hear the small amount of charm speak in Pipers words.

"Nothing will go wrong, ok."

"Good! Ok, so lets go IM some people to make sure they haven't forgotten!" Piper said, then dashed off to the bathroom.

Annabeth set the list down on the table and walked over to the kitchen sink.

She grabbed a flashlight out of the cupboard and turned on the water.

Shining the flashlight down at it she managed to make a small rainbow.

using her free hand, she fished around in her pocket for a drachma.

Tossing one in she recited, "Oh iris goddess of the rainbow, please except my offering, show me Percy Jackson, Camp Half Blood, long island sound.

A shimmering picture of her boyfriend started to appear in front of her.

Percy was in the middle of a battle with Nico, just about to win.

She smirked to herself, this would be the perfect time to mess with him.

Just as he had Nico pinned to the ground, she shouted, "Percy!"

The son of Poseidon's head snapped up in her direction, his attention leaving the battle.

Nico took this opportunity to grab Percy's sword and roll so that he was on top of him.

"Thanks alot Annabeth!" Percy wined.

Nico smirked, "Thanks Annie."

She scowled, "Dont call me Annie."

"what ever Annie."

Annabeth rolled her eyes, "I think Thalia is a bad influence on you."

Nico chuckled a little bit.

"Can you please get off a me?" Percy wined.

"Sorry dude, forgot you where there." Nico said, pushing himself off of Percy.

Annabeth snorted, "Well anyway, just wanted to make sure you didn't forget about tonight."

"How could we?" Thalia came bounding up from behind Nico, "You and Piper have been obsessing over it non stop."
