You were having quite the fun time doing Papyrus's puzzles. Sans and Papyrus were quite the interesting and funny pair. You couldn't say you loved Sans's puns, but you couldn't exactly say you hated them either. You liked how he supported his brother, he seemed pretty nice.

Earlier that day.... or was it yesterday? You don't recall how long you slept in the bed Toriel gave you.. A while before, you were in the ruins, doing more puzzles. These puzzles were really good, and it took you at least a bit of thinking in order to get it right.

The first monster you saw wasn't so nice, which didn't help your opinion on monsters too much. But once you saw Toriel help you, your opinion quickly changed. She was like a dear mother to you. She allowed you to stay in her home, and baked you a pie, just because you were there! You saved your slice, so you can savor it. She was planning on taking care of you, like a good parent would; she would've planned daily activities and made sure you learned a lot. She had loved you dearly, and you really loved her back (in a mother and daughter way, of course).

She was heartbroken when you said you had wanted to leave. After all, she was going to give you a really good life! But you just needed to get out of there and try to find a way out of the underground. She eventually led you to the RUINS door that led outside, but she was not intending to let you go out there so easily. She needed you to prove you would be strong enough to survive.

You dodged left and right, and tried to start a conversation with her like she taught you. But none of this changed her mind. You never wanted to fight her, and acting wasn't going to change your mind. You decided to spare her. She had a different reaction this time. It seemed she wanted you to fight her...? You kept sparing, and she finally gave in. She ranted on about how other children had crossed paths with her, wanting the same thing as you did. She told you about how they died at the hands of him, Asgore. It appeared she wasn't all too fond of him, whoever he was. She warned you, before you went out there, to be safe, and to not come back once you've left. After that, she hugged you, and left you.

Passing through time and space, you were about to cross the final puzzle before entering the town up ahead; The Gauntlet of Deadly Terror. You seemed intimidated and a little scared, seeing all the ways you could possibly die. Papyrus said he was about to make it go off! This is it... This is your last memory; being on a bridge of death.. Papyrus gave the word, and you shut your eyes and prepared for impact! ... You felt nothing... You opened your eyes to see Sans questioning Papyrus about why it hadn't gone off.

"So... what's the holdup?" Sans asked. ""Holdup?!? What holdup?!? I'm... I-i'm just about to activate it!!" Papyrus said, with a determined yet slightly nervous face. A few seconds went by, and Sans questioned Papyrus again. "That, uh, doesn't look very activated..." Sans stated, slight confusion on his face. "W-well!!! This challenge!!! It seems... maybe.. a bit too easy to defeat the human with...." Papyrus said. He thought for a few moments, before exclaiming "Yeah!! We can't use this one! I am a skeleton with standards! My puzzles are very fair!! My traps are expertly cooked! But this method is just too direct! No class at all!!". You gave out a sigh, along with a slight chuckle. "Away it goes!!" Papyrus said, motioning it with his hands. It seems you weren't going to die a painful death on a bridge. You sighed in relief while giving a slight grin as Papyrus talked about himself. "Phew.... H-hey! What are you looking at?!?" He exclaimed as he finally saw you looking at him. "This was another decisive victory for The Great Papyrus! Nyeh! Heh! .... Heh..?" He walked away, looking a bit relieved as well.

You got into Snowdin town unharmed! Hooray for you! You greeted all of the monsters there. They were all friendly back at you. You bought a Cinn. Bun from the shopkeeper, and stayed at the Inn for two minutes. When you felt well-rested, you marched up to where you would meet Papyrus for a battle.
