Emerald P.O.V:
I woke up and groaned as I remembered it's the last Wednesday of camp and also the middle of tech. It's been one week since the 50's dance which means we are going to go see Les Mis in Broadway today, which means I am performing in front of the cast of camp. Only people who signed up for the musical are going while the other kids who signed up for the play are going to go see a play. I don't remember which play though. And all the dance kids are also going to see the musical.
I sat up and threw on sweats and a sweatshirts. Most people were in dresses or dress pants but then there's me. Who doesn't want to perform today.
"R. Please tell me you can sub for me today," I smiled innocently at her.
"Ha. You thought," Ruby laughed, "Now voice rest."
I glared her as I combed through my hair before putting it into a messy bun. I walked with the kids to the Dining Hall and walked over to Jayce who handed me my usual tea before performances.
"Why does she get tea?" Ava growled.
"Because she's special unlike you," Jayce snickered.
I smirked and sat down at my usual table. I listened into the conversation as Walker sat down next to me.
"Good morning beautiful," Walker smiled at me.
I smiled back at Ruby stated, "She's on voice rest until we get to New York and she's backstage. We aren't risking anything since we haven't gone to our vocal coach in a month."
"Damn, you're playing with the big dogs," Walker laughed.
"You know it," Ruby laughed.
We were called to the coaches and we ran to the buses and climbed into the back. People started asking me a bunch of questions and I groaned as I put my earbuds in and listened to music. I laid my head on Walker's shoulder and closed my eyes.
"If someone asks her another question I'm going to punch you," Ruby smirked.
"You wouldn't," A girl chuckled.
"Test me," Ruby chuckled.
I chuckled and slid into a deep sleep.
I woke up to Walker shaking me, "Wake up Em."
"What?" I asked.
"We're here," Walker smiled and kissed my forehead.
We got off the bus and I spotted Mom and Griffin. I ran over to them and clung to Mom.
"Hey pumpkin," Mom chuckled, "You ready to perform tonight?"
I nodded.
"Voice rest?" Mom asked.
I nodded again.
"Jayce, I'll be taking Emerald and Ruby for the day so Emerald can get into costume and Ruby and keep her company," Mom explained.
"It's all good," Jayce smiled, "When's opening night?"
"In a week," Mom smiled.
"Damn, have fun Baby Blue," Jayce smirked.
"If we weren't in public, I would have tackled you right now," Mom laughed.
"Whatever Baby Blue," Jayce chuckled.
Mom took us to the theater and I began to get ready. I got my mic on and started to get my hair all crazy. I walked around the theater and ran into Josh and some girl.
"Emerald? When did you get back?" Josh asked as he held the girl's hand.
"Who is this?" I asked as I crossed my arms.
