This town was like no other. It wasn't lively, wasn't loud and hardly had any visitors. It seemed deserved from the outside but i assure you it is not. Why do you ask? Well that is something that you yourself must find out. Our story starts here, in a kingdom of mystery and misery. In a small abandoned house lived two most unlikely friends.

A small, red headed boy sits down at an old, almost broken, desk with a camera in his hands. Placing it down gently onto the table, he presses record.

"Hello?" he speaks to it with almost a small squeak in his soft voice.

"Is it on?" While examining the camera for any sign of it seeing him. Finally he saw it, the tiny green, luminous light.

"Yes it's on." Finally he sits back in his chair and lets out a small sigh of relief.

From here the camera is able to get a much better look at the boy. His hair was short, with a dark red colour dying it and placed on the top of his head were two large cat-like ears, one of which slightly twitched from a noise emitting from a distant room. He seemed fragile and worn out with big, black bags under his violet eyes. He was fairly thin but still looked to have been well fed for the past couple of days. Upon his neck he wore what looked to be a chain necklace, what was on it being hidden down his plain white shirt. On top of the white shirt he wore a simple, boring black hoodie, which had a small purple paw print sewed onto it at the side.

"Erm...hi, to whoever is watching this video, I am Joe... I don't talk to myself often so this is fairly strange." he scratches the back of his neck almost in frustration or annoyance. "I'm not talking to myself for the fun of it. I fear that this city won't last much longer, I want there to be some record of me before were all goners-"

Suddenly the door behind him is forcefully swung open by a tall oddly coloured man standing i the door way "Joe, I accidentally broke your -" he pauses in the middle of his sentence as he looks up and notices a camera sat on the table in front of joe, "what are you doing?"

"Just a video log, what were you saying? What did you break? He crossed his arms and turned around in his seat with a stern, mad look plastered on his face. "Erm...just your favourite cup" he quietly responds. Joe quickly gets up and walks over to him lightly hitting him over the head before leaving the room, "finish my recording for me!" he shouts to him from the other room, "you're being a part of this too, say who you are and then come help me clean!"

"Alright," he shouts back groaning as he walks over to the table and takes a seat. The man leans back in his seat and blankly looking towards the ting that is sat in front of him, his pointed ears bothering him as he tries to put his arms behind his head. His hair was pure black and was a complete mess, he had a few piercings on his nose, ears and even on his bottom lip. For a while there was nothing but silence before he let out a sigh and finally started speaking, "if I don't do this I'll get killed" he scratches his head and then sits up right. "Okay, hi? I'm Desmond" he looks down and whispers "this is so stupid" before looking back up at the camera. "You met the pipsqueak so I guess I look really intimidating compared to him, I'm not really, I mean I did save that moron so I'm not that bad i swear. I'm done now"

He leans over the table, just about to turn off the camera before hearing a shout from Joe. "Don't turn off the camera, I wanna say goodbye!" He growls in annoyance, sitting back and rolling his eyes before shouting back "well you better hurry up and get in her before i end it."

Loud footsteps can be heard in the background as the small boy runs around the door and into the room, coming to a halt at the table.

"You tired?"

"Shut up!" he pants holding onto his knees and then looking at the lense of the camera in front of them both and smiling. "Okay , say goodbye with me" he nudges Desmond who rolls his eyes again, "fine" he responds unmotivated.

"Goodbye" they both say, Joe making Desmond smile as he says it. "Alright," Joe picks it up, "where's the off button?"

"There"

"Where?"

"Oh god, just give me it" Desmond snatching it from him and finally the camera shuts off, the video being saved under "day 1."
