chapter 6

August POV

I woke up and it was around 10am. I got up excited since in a couple days it would be the mardi Gras which is my favorite event to go to in New Orleans. Its just the way how the energy vibes around person to person. I cant wait to go and neither can Lovely. She even told me she has never been to one. My job is to make sure at the Mardi Gras she has a good time and leaves happy.

When I got dress and everything I decided to take my little sister out with me today. I told my step dad and he was on his way out the door to work while my mom was on the couch. I really didnt bother saying anything to her if she's not going to even response. I just grabbed my little sisters bag and kept it moving.

We went to go pick up Lovely so she can finally spend the day with me and little chunky butt, Kaylee. When we got her she was so excited when she saw Kaylee but she was sleep in her carseat at the time so she didnt want to wake her.

We went to one of these theatre places to go see the play The Princess and The Frog. I liked the black version better it was for mostly Kaylee to see but Lovely was being a little extra and goofy. I just wanted to go.

After the play was over we went to Friday's to get something to eat. When we got to Friday's we were seated and waiting for our waiter as Kaylee colored on her menu.

"So how did you like the play Kay-Kay?" I ASKED MY LITTLE SISTER AND SHE SMILED AT ME. "It was awesome thank you Auggy," she said and I laughed. "Auggy?" Lovely said looking at me. "She doesnt like saying August so she calls me Auggy," I said and she continued looking at her menu.

We got our food and ate it and I got me and my chunky butt some oreo cheesecake. I got Lovely some red velvet cheescake and she fed me some of hers while I was driving. I was good as hell. We went to my house and I put Kaylee in her bed. She told me she didnt want her cake so I ate her's and mine.

We laid in my bed thinking. I wonder how it's going to be at the Mardi grass. I was starting at lovely till hat phone started ringing. I looked at it and it was her ex calling her. I looked at her but she tried to get the phone from me. I answered it.

"Hello? " I said.

"Oh you with that nigga, can I speak to my girl please? " he asked.

"Since when is she your girl when she's with me every night nigga? " I asked him.

"Nigga when she's not with you in the morning, who is she with... That's right me nigga, " he said and I stared at her.

"If you know what's good for you stop calling her fucking phone bitch," I said as I hung up.  I was beyond mad right now. I got up and I throw her phone on the bed. 

"August please let me explain, " she said.

"Explain what Lovely,  I show you love and affection while you fucking this nigga in the a. M. Like no man. I was there for you and showed you a side of me nobody knows about and you do this shit. Fuck out of here man, " I said and she stared at me.

"I'm not having sex with him, " she said.

"Than why you still seeing,  you said you hate his guts,  you wish he died and all this extra shit. What's the truth,  tell me the fucking truth then Lovely cause obviously I don't know it, " I yelled waking my little sister up.

"Auggy why you angry? " she asked me.

"Go get you shoes and you coat on Kaylee we about to leave everything is OK, " I said and she ran to her room.

"Tell the shit, " I said to her but she didn't say anything. It just really proved my point about her fucking her ex.

"Aye yo Fuck you and get out. Don't call me, don't text me nothing. You want to fuck him than go be with him but when he starts beating on you don't come crying to me. That shit hurts lovely that you would fuck me over like that man and I do a whole bunch of shit for you, " I said and she started crying.

"August please I'm sorry I don't want to loose you, " she said grabbing me. "I didn't fuck him I swear, I just go to him cause he gives me advice and for order to get that I have to do something for him."

"What the fuck are you doing for him? Tell me that so I'll understand how your supposedly not fucking him, " I said.

"I give him head, " she said and I punched the wall.

"Yo that's even worse than fucking him for real. Lovely just leave please I have to go and I'll drop you off home, " I said as I was about to walk away and she grabbed me again.

"Wait August I'm sorry can you please just talk to me. Can we talk about it please, " she said and I'm about to loose it. I don't know what the fuck to do I'm mad as hell right now and I don't want to be no where near this girl.

"Tomorrow Lovely come on so I can take you home, " I said as I got out of her grip.

As we were in the car it was silent and Kaylee was singing the song on the radio. When I got to lovely house she got out and said she loves me and she's sorry. She closed the door and walked to her door. I drove off to my best house. Michelle is the only one that can help me right now.

I pulled up to her house and I knocked on her door. She opened the door and hugged me and picked up Kaylee. She been friends with me since we were in the fifth grade. She always been around me and my brother. She has a kid and loves her the death.

"What brings you here," she asked.

"I just found out my girl just been cheating on me for advice from her ex by giving him oral sex, " I said and she told Kaylee to go play with Breanna. Kaylee ran up the stairs as Michelle looked at me.

"Listen August I know you mad right now and don't want to be near her but just before you think about anything you have to hear her out. See why she did what she did, " she said and it got me more mad.

"I know Michelle but I don't think she's telling me the truth. This nigga just don't come out of no where calling you if you did something for him. I'm always there for her man. I get her in her spirits when her mom fucked her over and she didn't have no one to talk to, I was there. When she wanted somewhere to stay when she didn't want to be home,  I was there. I gave her money,  I gave her advice, I gave her a shoulder to cry on this is what the fuck you do to me?" I yelled and she hugged me.

"I know Auggy. She has a lot going on and she must really feel like your not there for her just please go hear her out. Please for me, " she said pouting.

"Fine,  can we crash her tonight? " I asked.

"You don't have to ask boo you family remember take the guest room, " she said and I hugged her.

"Thank you man, " I said as I kissed her cheek.

"Anytime, " she blushed.

I went to the guest room and grabbed Kaylee who was sleep and put her in the bed. Tomorrow is a day I don't want to come but have to when I have to go talk to Lovely. Ugh... Let me sleep the rest of tomorrow away so I don't have to see her.
