The day of my stepbrothers funeral. Silent sobs from my step dad was heard in the other room as they talked about 'good' memories of him. There was nothing good about the druggy brat. I walked outside and felt some raindrops hit my pale skin, how fitting. I stomped off to the car to sit in the passenger seat, watching them take his coffin to the hole. My mom walked to the window, making hand gestures to roll it down. I sighed and rolled it down, "I know it's hard losing your brother like this, even though he wasn't blood related." She had tears in her eyes. "Yeah" I sighed a little harder. She walked off. God damn just play Helena or some shit, I will never miss him. I know my mom was using her 'husband' like she did my father and everyone in between. God it's so boring, I started to look through the parking lot glancing at the cars. Then I saw something move in the review mirror. I got out and slowly walked to it, curiously. Then I met him. He turned to me slowly, with a razor blade in his gloved hand. The stranger grinned "why hello there young one" his face was a little unsettling. He was kinda cute though. Goddamnit I'm straight why would I think that?! "Who are you?" I took a couple steps back just in case. He bared his teeth, before adjusting I believe is reading glasses?.. "Salverster, but you can call me Sal. What's my little kittens same?" He approached me and held my chin so I had to look at him. I got a little flustered. "Max. Just Max." He grabbed my hand and kiss it, making me hardcore blush. "Well you should go back to your folks." I glared at him. "You're treating me like a kid, I'm probably a couple years younger than you." He gave me another grin "how old are you kitty?" I sighed "18 soon to be 19 in a month"
He grabbed a pocket watch, looked at it and looked at me. "So you still live with your mom." How did he know?! He chuckled "I know who you are, Maxwell Author Green. I know your mom doesn't love you because you're her son, because she wants the money. I know you hate your family. I know you are still in college for a doctors degree," I walked a few steps back again. How'd he know all this, then he looked more familiar, he was in one of my classes. "Salverster Park?..." he smiled "would you believe me if I was the one who killed your step brother?" I softly gasped. "Max I know you more than anyone in this world. If you want you can run away with me to we can make a better world, together. I've been looking for people like you for centuries. The last person killed himself with too much over wealth." How was that supposed to convince me?! I barely even know this guy. "And if I disagree?" I awkwardly look away. "I'll have to kill you, you know too much." He said with a smile still on his face. "Fine, how do I help?" He giggled and took off his white glove and started to cut himself "No! Stop!" I saw him jolt back and look at me. "What" he looked at me confused. "Why are you cutting yourself?" Sal giggled again "how else do you think we will be connected?" I looked around, I don't like people hurting themselves. "Is there any other way?" He put his blade in his pocket. "Yes, but you might not like it." I tilted my head "what is it?" He grabbed my back practically pushing me with him, going deeper in the forest.
