In a small house, a couple lived with their three children. Two girls, named Lillian and Abigail Williams, and a boy named Ronnie Williams. On Halloween night, Lillian decided she would go out by herself with some friends, and so she did. A few hours passed and Abigail grew worried so she tried calling and texting her. No response.
A couple more hours passed and Lillian returned home late that night. She called out to Abigail, apologizing for not seeing her messages or calls. She ran upstairs and opened the door. No one was there.
"Abigail?" She called out once again. She looked in the bathroom, downstairs. It seemed like no one was home. She went back to her room and opened her closet to undress.
She screamed.
Laying in a puddle of blood, was Lillian.

The couple moved to a different house after the death of Lillian. They bought a house with 3 bedrooms, one for them, one for Abigail, and one for Ronnie.
The anniversary of the couple came around and they told Abigail and Ronnie to lock the doors and windows when they left. They did so and Abigail went to her room to do homework.

A few hours later, the couple returned home. They yelled out.
"We're home!" But they heard no response. They went upstairs and found Ronnie in his room, curled up into a ball. "What's wrong?" They asked, and after minutes of silence, they thought "Abigail."
They ran to Abigail's room and didn't see her sleeping in her bed. They slowly opened the closet door, and screamed. Just like they had found Lillian, Abigail too was dead.

It had been almost five years since the death of the sisters, and the couple now lived with Ronnie in a little apartment. They had had months of group therapy, but the thoughts of Abigail and Lillian stuck in their minds. The police never found out who killed them. They found no evidence of a break in or any weapons used. It was almost as if the killer didn't exist.
The mother soon died. Some said she died because of heartbreak. Some even said she committed suicide.

Ronnie got sick from a fatal disease. His father stayed with him in the hospital every day. When Ronnie died, his father found a letter he had written before he died. What he read shocked him:

"Dear father,

After years of everyone wondering who killed my sisters, I write this letter to tell you that I know who killed them. Of course, I never said anything because...
You and mother always chose them over me. I knew you loved them more than me. Even you, you loved them more than your own son. So I had to do it.
Lillian was alone. I asked her to play hide and seek with me and she hid in the closet. So I found her and killed her. All I used was a kitchen knife. I buried it in the garden, beneath mother's roses.
But then you left me all alone with Abigail. Poor Abigail, thinking she was safe with her own brother. She fell asleep and I dragged her to closet and slit her throat. With the same knife. I didn't even clean it. I buried it back under the roses and casually went back to my room.
And you had no idea that it was me. You'd never suspect unloved little Ronnie.
But don't worry father, I'll be back for you."
