Chapter 8

"Avani, did you give Jaden my number?" I ask with a small smile on my face. Avani's head turns towards me.
"What? What are you talking about?" There was a little pause "DID HE TEXT YOU" she says, moving closer to me, to look at the screen of my phone.
"Yeah I don't know how he got my number" I say turning my phone off and putting it on the side table. "What do I do?" I look at my best friend. She had the biggest smile on her face.
"Bebe when a hot guy is texting you, YOU TEXT BACK." We laugh.
"What do i say?" I ask her picking up my phone again.
"Write how did you get my number with three question marks." She tells me.
"What? Three is a little too much much I'm gonna go with one" I smile and start typing on my phone.
Me- how did you get my number?
I keep my phone on the table and we continue watching the movie. About a minute later, it pings. I pick it up with a smile on my face and Avani notices.
"What?" I ask her looking at Jaden's message.
Jaden- well, when you were on my bed hammered, I called my phone from yours😉
Me- weirdo
Jaden- Don't tell me you don't like that, cutie;)
I smile at my nickname.
"You like him, dont you?" Avani says pausing the movie and looking towards me.
"What ew no I don't he's an asshole." I say looking upto her.
"An asshole you text with the biggest smile on your face." She mocks me. When I'm about to say something, I hear her ringtone. I look at her phone and see that it's Anthony calling her. She answers and walks in her room. I close the movie as I'm bored and started to clean up. After a few minutes Avani comes out of her room
"It's Anthony, he wants to take me out today so I'm going to get ready." She smiles. She's so happy it's making me happy.
"Enjoy." I say and unlock my phone and notice a new text from Jaden
Jaden- where did you go?😫
Me- I'm here I was just cleaning up dude chill.
Jaden- good I'm coming over with Anthony.
Me-why? Why do you wanna be a third wheel?
Jaden- no stupid I'm coming to hang out with you.
Me-and why is that?
Jaden- coz I'm bored and I know you are too.
Me- I'm not bored
Jaden-really? What are you doing then?
Me- I'm going to make my bed sit in it and watch vampire diaries.
Jaden- ...
Me-ugh fine come over but pick up Taco Bell please.
Jaden- my type of girl;) Be there in 30 send me your order.
I send him my order and start to make my bed. 10 mins later I'm done and I pick up my laptop and open the screen and resume the episode I was watching.
I hear the doorbell 20 mins later
"Jess can you get that I'm not ready yet" Avani screams from her room.
"Yeah sure." I say, walking towards the door.
