I finish stacking the DVD's on to the shelf as I grab out my phone, checking the time. '6:17'
"Hey! I'm gonna go now k?!" I yell across the shop to my boss. He looks over and shrugs, giving me the queue to leave. As I trudge over to the lockers to grab my bag, I suddenly come across an obstacle and fall froward.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" A sweet, small, worried voice fills my ears. I peer up and view this small Asian girl. Her big, dark eyes staring in to mine, her long, straight hair falling over her shoulders, and her big, black glasses placed perfectly on her face. "I really should have moved! Ugh I'm so stupid. I really am sorry.." She quickly stammers out. "My god, where are my manners! Do you need any help up?" the nameless girl questions and begins to blush.
"Don't worry about it, I'm perfectly fine." I stand up myself, as she follows. I glance at her tiny, frail body with caution, as if I could snap one of her small bones just by my sight. She places her hand in the pockets of her black coat, covering her lacy, pastel pink dress, paired with white flats, which left me in awe.
"Again.. I'm really sorry." She quietly states, peering at the grey carpet beneath us.
"It's honestly fine. You were just looking at some movies." I half laugh. "Would you like any help? I was just about to leave for home, but if you are looking for something specific I could tell you."
"Oh really? Well uh... I was looking for pursuit of happiness. If you guys don't have it though that's fine." She replies shyly.
"Oh that's such an amazing choice! My favourite movie by far! Its in the section in front of the entrance." I say excitedly and point towards the shelves.
"Thank you! Hey uh.. Maybe we could hang out and watch it together? I mean, it is your favourite movie and all. If you don't want to we don't have to though!! Not by any means. I just thought it may be fun.." The girl stutters, eyes still glued to the ground, with the rare glance to my face. I can't help but say yes. The offer was random and sudden, but this girl is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. She seems so delicate and precious. I've just met her, but the feeling of wanting to get to know her grow by the second. She could have asked one of her other friends, in which I assume she has many. I can't think of a reason why she wouldn't. Yet she asks me. Is she okay? Not many people would ask a total stranger to come watch a movie with them. Many questions flood my mind, but I decide to look past them and take up the offer.
"That sounds great!" I reply and dig out my phone from my pocket, handing it to her. "Just write down you're number and I'll text yah when I'm free?" She nods, and carefully grabs my phone, putting in her information. I watch her as she places her fingertips on the screen; lightly. Her hair falling over her face as she types, then smiles and hands the electronic back.
"Well thank you for the help, and again, sorry for making you trip.." She stammers and reaches out for what looks like a hug, but then quickly backs away, a worried expression plasters on her face. "Text me when you can, no need to rush. Have a good night, bye bye." She tells me, her words almost mixing together with the speed she was talking at. I glance at her as she gives me a small smile, then runs off to where I told her the movie was.
Remembering I had my phone in hand, I glance to the screen, checking the contact she made for herself. "Leda.." I whisper.
