I'm a little rusty at the moment though! anyways enjoy~
Note: some of the information I'll be using is based from the Kimetsu no Yaiba Manga (if I'm not right about some facts, please excuse them & pretend that it makes sense ;v;)

Y/N's POV:
Bruises covered my legs and elbows with such sensitivity that even the gentlest of touches caused a slight sting. My wrist acted limp as I twisted it back a little to check if I sprained it or just straight up broke it. I really couldn't tell with all the agonizing pain that shot through the joint every time I moved it. It was crucial that I head to the Butterfly Estate to check up on my injuries. Besides, it was the closest infirmary around here for the use of Demon Slayers like me. My crow even nagged me about it all the way there."Oh Y/N, what awful injuries you have." Aoi said as I dragged myself to the entrance of the Butterfly Mansion. She ran up to me with concern and offered me her shoulder. Me and Aoi have been friends for quite some time ever since my first visit to the estate. I gratefully accepted and she helped carry me all the way to a bed in the recovery room. I finally laid back in peace, letting the discomfort settle. My total concentration breathing constant started to shape back to normal as I drank the medicated water filled with painkillers. Finally, I didn't have to use a breathing technique to ease the throbbing pain I was actually in for a while. Looking out the open window, I realized a scent of sakura blossoms and a light breeze was entering the room. I tilted my head to enhance the sight of the outdoors and as expected, there was a cherry blossom tree outside. It was a comforting thing to see at first but then it suddenly wasn't. It reminded me of the cherry blossom trees I'd always see at front of the brothel I was raised in. I left after one of the staff there transformed into a demon. I lost my family to that demon. Even though I wasn't biologically related to any of those girls, they raised me like I was their own sister. They were everything to me. And that demon took them away from me. That's when I decided to become a demon slayer. That's how I started to loathe demons to the inner depths of my core. Disgusting. Heartless. Creatures.
Suddenly, my pondering was interrupted by a gradual sound of marching from the outside. It started getting louder and louder as it got closer. The source of the noise was finally in my view as I was still gazing out of the window. A group of demon slayers were all walking pass the Butterfly Estate to get to the nearby mountains. I started to notice that the line of slayers began to seem endless. I realized there were hundreds of them. My eyes widened with confusion. Was this all of the demon slayers in the Demon Slayer Corp? Most looked new so majority of them must have been Mizunotos. Filled with curiosity, I turned to see if Aoi was returning back to my room so I could ask her a few questions. Instead, a boy with a green and black checkered haori entered the room. I stared at him with blank, soulless eyes to hide the fact that it was an awkward situation. He stared back. After a few seconds of pure silence, the boy finally said something. "Who are you?" He asked.
I smiled warmly. "I'm Y/N. Rank Kinoe."
"Kinoe?" said the boy with surprise, "That's one of the highest ranks! You must be very powerful." His eyes lit up.
"Oh please. I'm nothing compared to the Hashiras. Now, may I ask who you are?" I said modestly.
"I'm Tanjiro Kamado." He said with kind ambition.
"Ahh, I see— wait Kamado? Are you the demon slayer travelling with a demon?" I said with interest.
"Yes, ma'am! My sister is a demon and I'm working hard to turn her back to a human." Tanjiro said.
"So I've heard from others... I also heard that you've encountered Muzan Kibutsuji, and a few of the Upper moons." I continued.
Tanjiro nodded. "That's correct. I've also met all of the Hashiras and joined them in battle."
"Ehhh?~ Really?" I clasped my hands with excitement even though pain exploded in my wrist. "You see, even though I'm a Kinoe, the only Hashira I've ever met was Shinobu."
"What!? For real?" Tanjiro questioned my words with shock.
"Mm, for real, for real." I chuckled. "I really don't know who the other Hashiras are. Though, I can tell they're much more gifted than me."
Tanjiro tilted his head with confusion."That's so strange, Lady Y/N. Anyways, I've got to get going to Hashira Training." He turned for the door. "I need to talk to Giyuu-"
"...Giyuu?" I asked. My eyes widened with fear.
"Yeah... Giyuu Tomioka..." Tanjiro answered puzzled as he saw my expression.
My heart raced. My breathing was getting fast. That name. No it couldn't be... he was here?
"He's the Water Hashira." Tanjiro said with clarity.
Hashira? He's a Hashira now? But he's here... but why? He lied to me. Giyuu lied to me all those years ago! How could he? Memories began flooding my injured brain.
My breathing got incredibly fast until I realized I couldn't breathe. My panting became concerning and noticeable. "Lady Y/N!" Tanjiro ran up to me as I began blacking out. It was completely pitch black in less than a second. I could hear Aoi bursting through the door, yelling my name. Then, it was silent....
"Giyuu?" I asked him, his back facing me. "What's wrong?"
This is a flashback... This was back when I completed Final Selection. Wait- am I dying?
"I'm not going to continue being a demon slayer. I don't deserve to be one, not after what he did for me." Giyuu said as he put himself down. I stared at Giyuu as the waterfall behind him created a beautiful background.
"Are you sure you're not going to at least try to succeed for him?" I suggested trying to reason with him.
"No." Giyuu said clearly. "This is over." Releasing his anger, he sliced a rock in half in front of him.——————————
